Overall Personality: Chace is someone who can be quite direct. This is due to him not having many friends and closing others off. As such he can come off as a rude person to others. Coal can be quite overconfident thinking he can do things others can not. He is calm a lot of the time but he can be just as emotional as others when he wants to be. Coal is is actually a kind person and cares for his friends and family. He doesn't like to see others get hurt or killed and dreads to imagine that happening. Coal is quite happy go lucky as he can just be as lazy at times as he can be hardworking when he wants something or has a goal to achieve. He would also risk his life for his friends and family without a second thought.

Chace grew up in bellemuse with his brother mother and father. His father was a hunter and his mother stayed at home most of the time looking after him and his brother. His father used to tell him stories of his hunts that he used to do which amazed Chace and he thought it would be a good and healthy way to live life as a hunter. His father helped trained him and his brother except for one fateful day when he his brother and father were out in the forest of Finnek and his brother was killed by a grimm and his dad got heavily injured in the fight but chace killed the grimm after his father had already done some damage to it using a sword and his father couldn't continue on as a hunter afterwards. Chace decided to become a hunter mostly because of this. He wants to be able to protect and help others. Chace after his brother died set out and went after Grimm he could find to train and prepare himself for when he would register to syne however he never went after Nethermores or deathstalkers because he knew he would be defeated easily but things are different now. Being a cat faunus he wasn't bullied too much because he grew up near Syne because lots of faunus live in the area or visit and so its common for them to be here. His brother also died when Chace was 14 and he also learned his lightning semblance on that day too. After his brother's death Chace became more determined to become a hunter more than he wanted to before. His father couldn't do it anymore as the injury left him unable to do so. Chace before he came to syne made his own dust infused jacket with his fathers help to protect him in battle.

Chace ran after his brother through the forest climbing to tree after tree and then he lost sight of his brother. His cat ears twitched and listened for any sudden movements of his brother incase his brother decided to do a sneak attack. Chace's tail started to lash back and forth and he held his sword then he saw his father below him but his father didn't seem to be interested in the training anymore and he called out something to Chace as he was up in the trees. He couldn't hear what his father said but he followed him across the trees then they came to a deep part of the forest where his brother lay dead on the ground while a deathstalker stood over him. His dad then attacked the deathstalker doing some significant damage to it. Chace at the time still hadn't figured out what his semblance was. His father was then almost killed and was bloodied up by the creature. At this point this caused Chace to get really angry then all of a sudden lightning formed in his hands and he pointed it at the grimm and it fired at the grimm killing it dead. Chace decided at this point he would dedicate his life to becoming a hunter. His father was left severely injured after the fight but he didn't die thank god thought Chace. He was left in tears that day as his brother was killed however.
