Kei trudged along a snowy path as he moved through winter landscape that had currently overtaken the Skylight Woods. Kei left footprints behind him as he traveled through the snow, the cold biting at his exposed skin. He hated the cold. It just wasn't his cup of tea. In most cases, Kei wouldn't bother coming all the way out here in such weather, he'd much rather stay at home. It wasn't his choice though, and the Academy gave him a hunt to take care of.

It was just Grimm activity on the edge of the woods. All he had to do was simply drop in and eliminate any Grimm that he encountered. If that wasn't already easy enough, Kei was told beforehand that others from the Academy were given the same job. They gave Kei a list of names, but he didn't have any intention of remembering them at the time. As a result, Kei had forgotten who else he would encounter. The only thing that was sure he was bound to encounter other hunters.

It slithered slowly, ever so slowly towards the man walking through the forest. The creature, known as a Grimm could taste the heat and humanity upon the man. It knew only hatred once it could taste the scent of the man. It’s instincts told it to kill the man, and rip him apart into many tiny little pieces.

The snake-like Grimm, known as the mighty King Taijitu continued to slither towards the man. The white head, was in the lead. It’s red eyes fixed upon the man, as it approached the man from behind. Ever closer it, approached him. Ever closer his death approached from behind the man. The King Taijitu knew only hatred for the man, and saw red as it’s white head rose from the ground, as it was close enough to strike.

Hissing in anticipation of the kill, the White head of the mighty beast lunged forward aiming to strike at the man’s back!

Expecting to meet up with other students on the same hunt, immediately encountering a Grimm didn't seem like it would happen so soon. The nature of King Taijitu's caused them to be fast and stealthy. It was a dangerous combination. Just about any creature of the forest would instantly fall prey to a King Taijitu without even knowing it.

Not even knowing that he was already under attack, Kei took the King Taijitu's blow to the back, which launched him forward, tumbling through the snow. Instinct honed from years of experience took over, and despite the sudden chaotic situation he was thrown into, Kei reached down to his belt as he tumbled through the snow, grabbing one of the ends of the coils of weighted wire. Kei threw the weighted end of the wire at a tree branch directly above, causing the wire to wrap securely around it. The moment the wire secured, Kei stopped his tumbling through the snow by bracing his feet, pushing off of the ground as he did. The wire secured around the tree branch above began to retract, pulling Kei up to the tree branch.

This provided Kei with a small break in the battle, which he used to quickly analyze his situation. In front of him, he saw a King Taijitu, perhaps the largest he has ever faced, and realized it was the cause of the sudden attack he took. Kei also quickly flexed his back muscle, measuring the extent of the damage he had just taken. It seemed to be nothing more then bruises thankfully. It seemed his trench coat managed to protect him from some of the force of the attack.

As Kei reached the tree branch, he flipped his body over landing on the branch itself facing the King Taijitu. His wire that was around had come loose and completely retracted into his belt. Without a moments hesitation, Kei leaned his body forward and kicked off of the tree branch, launching himself at the King Taijitu. He released both of the mini-harpoons housed in the launchers on each of his wrists into the palms of his hands, grabbing and dual-wielding the mini-harpoons like a makeshift dagger. On top of this, Kei sent electricity running each of his hands into both of the harpoons to buff their damage, causing the metal poles to hum a low buzz.

Kei reached the white head of the snake and twisted his body as he did, swinging the harpoon in his right hand at the head. Kei continued to rotate, using his first strike to pull himself out of being directly infront of the head of the snake, immediately bringing the harpoon in his left hand down onto the top of the King Taijitu, using that strike to also pull him along the top of the Grimm. Continuing to twist and spin his body, Kei once again was able to bring the harpoon in his right harpoon down, then used that to pull himself along the back of the neck of the snake and bring his left harpoon down, also continuing to pull himself along, this time reaching the back of the snake. Visually, combination of attacks would look very similar to the spinning action of a bladed top, as though one were traveling sideways down the back of the King Taijitu.

The Taijitu, dodged the first two strikes before the last two hitting it and killing the white head of the great beast. The Black Head would roar in rage before turning the entire body quickly to make it’s white brethren to strike against several trees to make it avoid getting hit more by the human’s wire weapon.

The Black Head was angry, at it’s brother head being killed by the stupid human in front of it. HOW DARE IT INJURE HIM! It’s instincts were kicking in, in overdrive. It saw red as it launched itself towards the hunter with it’s mouth wide open. It was intending on forcing the stupid bipedal future bloodstain repent for it’s actions by making it, the monster’s dinner! Yes, that would make it pay by eating the stupid human that killed it’s brother head! But first it was intending on snapping it’s teeth into the human's chest to weaken it before the final victory!

Kei's attack left him open to the black head of the King Taijitu. Unable to completely dodge, from both his own positioning and the speed of the powerful Grimm, all Kei could do was barely position himself so that the right side of his body was bitten down on instead. Kei's right side was caught within the massive bite of King Taijitu's black head. Teeth came clamping down across Kei body with intense pressure. Though Kei's Kevlar lined trench coat provided some protection to his body, preventing his torso from being cut in two by the teeth of the black head, it did little to nothing against the actual force of the attack.

Kei grimaced as a sharp pain erupted in his right ribs. In the position he was in, it was impossible to tell what kind of injury he had gotten from that attack, but he wouldn't have been surprised if it left him with a fractured rib, or even worse, a broken one. At the moment his right side was trapped. Desperate to get free and fighting through the pain, Kei brought his free left hand around, stabbing at the face of black head and as he did, Kei sent a massive amount of electricity through the harpoon, causing blue sparks to dance along the blade, further increasing its damage. Kei's current intent was to get himself out from being trapped within the jaws of the black head.

Getting a good grip on the human, the Black headed beast felt pain from the spear ramming into it’s head, loosened it’s jaw slightly in pain from the spear. Than it felt the electricity running through it’s head, forcing it’s muscles to constrict, and tighten it’s hold on the Human. Flailing around, the great beast would lose it’s control over it’s muscles while the electricity arcs through it, harming it further.

Once the lightning, stops the beast raises it’s head into the air still having the human in it’s jaw due to the lightning clenching it’s jaws by forcing it’s muscles to constrict to unbearable levels. Looking at the human with pure red eyes, it would start to shake the human around trying to disorientate the human while slamming him into a tree. It wanted the human to die and it was planning on doing so! It was time to end this, with the human’s death!

Kei couldn't really do much as he was crushed down on by the King Taijitu's black head which only added to his current injuries. Being swung around and slammed into trees, Kei's vision began to fade in and out, both from the actual injuries he was taking and being swung around at high G's.

He was fighting to keep conscious, focusing himself, ignoring the pain, resisting submission. The sharp pain in his right rib began to sting with a far more fiery impression, his exposed left side battered against trees, only adding to the bruises on his body and left a gash on his head, causing blood to spill down half his face.

Clenching his teeth and keeping himself awake through sheer willpower, Kei once again brought the harpoon in his free left hand and brought it around stabbing at the face of the Black Head, once again sending a high voltage of electricity though the metallic rod, causing a high pitch to shatter the air.

Mood: Desperate
Condition: Dizzy, Wounded, Fractured Rib, Cold

The beast was really doing it! It was really killing the fleshling that had killed it’s brother head! Flailing the human around more, before going straight into the air. It was going to crash it and the human into the ground! Turning and aiming at the ground, it felt another intense pain against it’s face. THE HUMAN WAS GOING TO SHOCK IT AGAIN!!! Getting even angrier than before, the King Taijitu would continue it’s assault trying to reach the ground before the electricity reached it and made it flail around once more. But it did not know, it’s time was already up. Right before the lightning reached it, the great snake started to fade away into the dust that it’s kind turned into once they’re dead. It’s last thought was instinctual in nature, it wanted to at least kill the human that had killed it’s brother head. It was gone before the human could shock it.

As the King Taijitu was defeated and dispersed into black dust, Kei was released from the clutches of its jaw and fell back first onto the snowy ground. There were still black spots in his vision and his body was sore all over. His right rib cage continued to sting painfully and blood dripped down his face from the gash on his forehead. Loading both of the mini-harpoons back into their launchers, Kei crawled over to a nearby tree, sitting himself up and propping his back up against it, grimacing as his did from the pain in his side.

Kei took his scarf and tied it around the wound in his forehead in order to suppress the bleeding. He closed his eyes, sitting in the cold, taking a quick breather. He wasn't sure what exactly happened to the other hunters he was supposed to meet out here, but it didn't matter now. They could show up now and nothing would change. Kei knew better then to expect to depend on others. It didn't matter if he lacked the skills or the strength or the smarts. There are always multiple ways to get a solution. Others would just get in his way.

Sighing, Kei pulled out his scroll and signaled the academy he was ready for pick up...
