Night had fallen on Syne and Eli was returning home from another weapons test. Once again there were quite a few duds that had.... disastrous results. Somehow Eli had gotten the chemical composition wrong for one of her grenades and it ended up turning the girl's skin purple. She looked practically like an eggplant! She couldn't be seen in public like this! So Eli had hid in the training arena until dark and now was in the process of sulking home under the cover of darkness.
"Aww man! How am I gonna get rid of this color! I mean it would've been cool to dye my hair this color, but my skin! This is the worst. But.... hey!" Eli just had a flash of inspiration! "I could use this to mark Grimm! It'd be easy to keep track of individual Grimm if they were dyed unique colors!"
Eli would have to design a system for projecting the chemical cocktail onto targets, but that shouldn't take too long. What would be the best way to do it? A spray, grenade launcher? Maybe individual bullets soaked in the chemicals?! Excitement welled up in the girl and she started to dash through the courtyard towards the dorms, too lost in her thoughts to pay attention to her surroundings. She felt the itch, the urge to build something. To watch something beautiful come from her own hands. The urge to be useful.
So an excited, silver haired, emerald eyed, purple skinned girl ran through the courtyard recklessly, heedless to her environment. Some would call her careless, Eli didn't mind though.
