Likes:
Yogurt: Quartzella is an unusual Faunus girl who for some reason has an insatiable delight in the taste, texture, and smell of yogurt. Whether it is nuzzling her nose in the creamy substance or scooping it up into bite size morsels she loves whatever happens with it except spilling it on the floor. Quartzella is extremely protective of her yogurt, particularly the strawberry and lemon flavors.
Sleeping: It’s convenient that she adores this time and deems it as well spent as so few of students maintain a regular sleeping habit now. The reasons why she loves sleeping so profusely though is not from the comfortable beds she get to sleep in but for the various dreams that one can encounter while in this state.
Classes: Odd perhaps for a student in general but she yearns for knowledge which makes the classroom and library two of her favorite places throughout an Academy. She thirsts for knowledge of the past and sciences so she can better assist her fellow Faunus in their endeavor for equality.
Dislikes:
Sweets: Unlike her love of yogurt, Quartzella could have lived without testing the revolting cocoa flavored and unnaturally created sweets that have won over the hearts of the masses.
Fighting: Plain and simple Quartzella doesn’t enjoy the act of violence specifically between Faunus and Humans or any variety of permutation with those two. Grimm she has no trouble with killing mostly in the case when they attack first.
Snow: Ironic to say the least, Quartzella despises the cool weather that is sprinkled down from the atmosphere to the point that she will refuse to even go outside unless forced. She has a natural affinity to this climate with her wintery camouflage.
Fears:
Crowds: Ella hates large crowds as she always is fearing that they all are saying things about her and planning on inflicting pain upon her.
Death: Ella can hardly enjoy the idea of beating up and killing grimm which makes it extremely difficult to watch another person die.
Aquaphobia: This doesn't mean she is afraid of drinking water but she is afraid when sh approaches anything larger than a bathtub, as she once was held underwater by bullies.
Overall Personality: Quartzella is exactly the stereotypical nerd, horn-rimmed glasses and gangly curly hair that she never washes because she had been up all night studying. But she does generally keep to herself and acts for the most case as a mute with a few exceptions of when she is answering questions or giving people a piece of her mind. If she is talking with another student one on on and they genuinely seem like a nice person Ella will generally come out of her shell and make some poor small talk. If for some reason you have managed to aggravate Ella you should probably run for cover as she doesn’t usually hold back when she is lashing out with anger which primarily pertains to those who try to bully her. Otherwise she is usually level-headed and refuses to talk with other students.
Abilities
Aura type: Healing
Aura Color: Grey
Semblance: Crystal Mask, is Ella's semblance which allows her to bestow her aura through her sword, or self, into a target which will then heal them. This takes on a powdery appearance as if one was sprinkling snow or flower over a person.
Item 1: Claymore: Quartzella call's her pearl for this is priceless in her eyes and when combined with the abilities of her own aura propagating through it is a gruesome blade.

History and Sample
- History:
- Quartzella Lang was born east of the large city of Vale in a town that wasn’t particularly fond of Faunus from the recent events as well as past years. Her species were discriminated for the most part in her little town to the point that her own father decided that he could no longer deal with such horrid comments. Ella never knew her father as he was too annoyed by the constant cruelties that the other townsfolk offered him so he went off to join the extremists cause for equality. Her mother was ashamed that her real father had left and became a radical so she desperately tried to hide this by marrying a human male who was a bit more respectable as well as moving into the city of Vale in hopes to keep her daughter away from the radical causes about Remnant.
Her mothers name was Eleanor and her step-fathers name was Claude who both adored their daughter and raised her to be the best she could be as both a student as well as warrior. However, the warrior portion wasn’t exactly her most favorite extracurricular activity even if she did prove to be quite adequate at it. As the years raced on Claude and Eleanor began to realize that while their daughter may not have the tastes of becoming an expert huntress, she did seem quite skilled and the fact was that Beacon Academy would have been the only school around to prove to be of any challenge to her.
Growing up in Vale wasn’t all that much better for faunus as Ella had learned especially when her father was being ridiculed for marrying such a creature as her mother. On countless occasions Ella ran off and hid behind dumpster in alleyways, so often in fact that Claude grew quite use to finding her curled up in tears. Like any good father figure he urged to stay strong and realize that though the world can be cruel both to him as well as her that they should care as long as they had one another to lean on. This discrimination played a key factor in why she preferred to stay at the library as she once got into a fight with a couple of kids who she rough housed with. She walked out a little worse for wear, but the boy who had attacked her were far worse as they ran off crying from the whipping she defended herself with.
As she became of age her parents insisted that she continue her education at Beacon Academy and had the liberty to enroll her without her own consent.

- The summer sun roze above the tree-bordered horizon like it did everyday, but this time it was illuminating even the most shaded areas with it’s glorious glow. The breeze carried upon it a glamorous aroma of food from the market that was but a few blocks away from Quartzella’s parents house. The large lump of sheets began to squirm about back and forth across the large queen size bed that Ella had grown accustomed to. It’s soft mattress was gowned in a angelic cleanly sheet. The break of dawn had long past and the time was nearing noon as a wailing siren of alarms, that was coming from her clock began to resound through the room. Springing forth from the sheets like a hound on the trail of a grimm she gracefully collapsed to the ground in a discomforting, THUMP.
In a hazy daze Quartzella found herself entangled in the cloth that once provided so much comfort to her. Her entire body twisting and writhing in pain as she attempted to inch herself out from beneath the covers. “Owie, who the heck set that alarm clock I thought I unplugged it three weeks ago?” Her voice carrying a disgruntled tone about it as she now was lifting herself up from the ground to spy at the clock. Upon the screeching device was a note, most likely left from her father Claude which read.
Hi sweety I know that you unplugged this despite the fact that I gave it to you so that you would start waking up on time but you need to start packing your bags as you are going to be rooming at the Academy love and hugs.
P.S. Don’t worry too much about packing as we already took the liberty to send all the rest of your clothes already so you can’t back down. Xiao! And don’t destroy the bedstand please.
As she read this note her spirits began to diminish to the point that her hand drooped to the ground, which then crawled underneath her bed. In one swift and angry motion she swung pearl out from its place beneath her bed till it crashed down chopping both the alarm clock and the night stand in half. Breathing heavily she then attempted to calm herself from her annoyed state. “I get it Claude and Mom want to have fun together while I’m stuck there and they don’t want me to be commuting back and forth. Well played Claude, well played.” Sighing she would lift herself back to her feet, pearl basically being used as a glorified cane.
