Grey gave a small, half-smile as he unpacked his bags, glancing about the small dorm room he was given. Whenever he was assigned to a team (or formed one- he still wasn't clear on that), he'd likely move to another dorm. But for now, he supposed he'd setup what he had so far.
Being from a poor village...he didn't have a lot. The sword and shield he wore, along with his clothing, made up the most of it. He wasn't really used to this whole...school, aspect. His mother had taught him the basics, but beyond that, he knew very little.
Still, it was good, to get away. He worried a bit about his father, but he didn't doubt the man would be fine- he'd just have to play it a little bit safer than he had with Grey there. "No more crazy adventures for you, old man," he said softly under his breath.
A pang of homesickness hit him, but he ignored it for now. He'd have time to be homesick later. Right now, he would need to get ready for classes in a few days. Thankfully, he'd come in on a weekend, but that didn't leave a whole lot of time for him to get ready before classes started.
He shrugged then, fitting the blade into his shield and moving it onto his back as he turned, glancing back toward the door...only now realizing it was open. "...Huh," he said, before taking a step toward it, curious if anyone had heard him talking to himself, or really, was just in the hallway.
