SUPER IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ
This is an issue that has popped up many times, and yes, we the staff are in fact well aware of the fact that the Speed and Reflex stats (SPD and AGT), as they are now, mean literally nothing when put into practical use during RP. So after what has now been several months of discussion, we have come to the conclusion that we should do away with them completely, until it becomes an necessity to bring them back in a new way. Every system on the site from the start were tests. Because the site is only a couple of months over half a year old, the mechanics need to change from time to time, whenever we find that something isn't working. We hope that you guys can understand this.
Now, I will explain the new system.
While we are getting rid of two stats, there will still be four stats total. The plan is to separate Offense and defense. The stats will now be as follows:
STR (Strength): This Determines how hard you can hit. +5 damage dealt for every point
DEF (Defense): This is how well you can take a hit. +5 damage absorbed for every point
SPT (Spirit): This is how effective your dust is. +5 damage dealt for every point
RES (Resistance): This determines how well you can take dust. +5 damage absorbed for every point.
Minimum Damage taken is always 5, no matter how many points are in the defensive stats.
Because of this new stat system, Auras related to Speed and/or Reflex are no longer in effect.
In the case that a character has a super speed semblance, it now works a bit like teleportation where the character can move to a certain visible spot up to 10m away (at start) in what seems like an instant. However, unlike teleportation, you are not disappearing from one place and appearing in another, you are physically moving yourself there.
Now, this means that EVERY character must be updated, and this is very important. These new stats are in effect immediately, but do not effect any topics made prior to this thread's release. Characters yet to be approved will be asked to change their stats, and newcomers will be asked to change this bit of the template until we are able to update it. YOU CANNOT PARTICIPATE IN A NEW TOPIC UNTIL YOUR STATS ARE UPDATED. UNAUTHORIZED THREADS WILL BE ARCHIVED UNTIL EVERY PARTICIPANT IS UPDATED. To do this, post in THIS thread with the new stats that you want and staff will fix things. If your Aura is speed and you need to change it, let us know here as well.
