Kompress Beach was quiet this evening. The sun setting over the ocean left an angry red scar on the horizon. It was almost as if the sky was wounded and bleeding. A lone faunus sat in the sand staring blankly out to sea. Unlike certain members of his species, he took absolutely zero measures to hide what he was. After all, why should he hide his birthright? There was no need to, if someone had an issue with what he was, he would cut them down in an instant.
This Faunus is known as Azrael, though few knew his real name. Azrael preferred it this way after all. The past is just that, the past. Azrael preferred not to dwell on it. The present and more importantly, the future, were more important, and required his full attention. As for the present, Azrael certainly wasn't here just to stare at the sea and think about himself. No, he was summoned here.
A letter had arrived at the hotel that he was staying in, written by a colleague of his. In short, the letter requested the Faunus's presence for a meeting at this beach. Azrael didn't particularly care for the beach, but it was as good of a place for a meeting as anywhere else. Azrael had left his room and left for the beach at a leisurely pace. He didn't really care if he was late for this meeting anyways. As luck would have it he seemed to be the first to arrive. With a shrug Azrael had found a visible spot on the beach to sit and relax. And that brings us to the current situation. A lone Faunus, on the beach, staring at the sunset, waiting for the others to show up for this meeting.
While I'm waiting might as well take a nap. Azrael thought to himself as he laid back with his arms resting behind his head. His eyes closed and he started working on drifting off to sleep. They are taking their sweet time after all.
