Ariana walked through the schoolgrounds. She was… confused, to say the least. She’d never been anywhere this complex in her life. There were too many hallways and too many doors for her to figure out anything. She didn’t know where she was supposed to go, or what she was even supposed to be doing. She knew she’d been accepted into the school, but she didn’t know if she had to meet with anybody or anything. She hung her head and leaned against a wall. What was she even supposed to do… no, why was she even here? She didn’t even know why she had decided to come to Syne, other than that she had just suddenly had the notion to join the academy. She wasn’t aggressive or even assertive enough most of the time to be a true huntress, though she may have knowledge of maneuvering fighters on a battlefield.
She sank down against the wall, starting to shake slightly. What was her point in coming here? She’d seen some people already, but hadn’t even been able to ask them what she was supposed to do. She reached up and wiped at her eyes, her hand coming away moistened by tears she hadn’t known had begun. The girl sank her head between her knees, unsure of what to do and fairly unable to actually approach anybody about it. Her self-consciousness of her lisp, her eyes… her everything… it stopped her from talking to others when she had the slightest urges to-- like now, when she wanted to talk to somebody about what she was to do… not only that, but she wanted to meet somebody here, to at least say she knew one person at the school before she returned home to… herself.
