History and Sample
- History:
- Atlas, unsurprisingly, was born in Atlas. He was named after the city. Now, to understand, Atlas' parents were born in Bellmuse, and held land in Bellmuse. They were living in Atlas when Atlas was born. Atlas, the child, was actually quite gifted. He was born a Hawk Fanus. Atlas, from a very young age, was coddled to become more academically-situated. It worked. In grade school he was a gifted kid who, beyond everything, was great at academics. He also had great genetics, making physical sports easy. In middle school, he stomped physical competition. He hit his growth spurt early.
Life up until Atlas Academy was widely boring and lame. However, when he got there, he got a rival under the name of Magnus Mist. Atlas was the great prodigy, but this Magnus fella somehow stood up to him and through that Atlas's serious demeanor was funny and non-threatening. Which made Atlas even worse. Whenever it came to sparring, Atlas would always choose Magnus as a partner. Let's look at one of their fights, shall we?
---
Both are 16; extremely early entrants into the academy, and both extremely skilled. This was one of those days in which they fought. They got into a ring, and as a matter of theatrics, Magnus was being a goofball. However, this wasn't the two's first battle. Atlas knew that, beyond the theatrics, Magnus was a good combatant. Atlas was not one for the theatrics, and showed that by starting the battle with a kick. Magnus blocked the kick and moved with the momentum, to lower the impact. The two started to trade parries, it was a mixed martial art extravaganza.
However, Atlas was going to lose this one. He'd much rather win, but that wasn't in the cards. Magnus, at this point, was better than Atlas. Magnus won when he got Atlas's arm and threw him to the ground. It was ruled a tko, as if the fight went on any longer, Magnus would've likely properly injured Atlas. Not that Atlas cared, it was shameful enough for him to lose to Magnus.
---
It was when he was 18 that he graduated at the top of the class with Magnus, both getting perfect scores on the tests. Not that it mattered to Atlas, who parted ways after that point with the man named Magnus. This is hardly the end of Atlas's story, though. Nay, it's the start of his story. For all his skills, he was shoved into a program that would put him in special training for the Special Operations force.
That training lasted two years. Coming out, he had farther improved his martial arts skills, along with his observation and knowledge. All of that made him a somewhat dangerous man. Not that anyone would know. The old, serious Atlas was changed into a more laid back and simple character; one to flash you a smile. One to be sarcastic. No one is quite sure if that was the real Atlas, because his personality has changed at least once more before current day. However, during this time, he became friends with a woman, Euclid.
Euclid was a talented mathematician mixed with a terrifying critical thinker. Euclid was also his partner for most Ops. They were both calm and smart individuals, each with a different skill set. Atlas's aligned more with physicality, while Euclid was much, much smarter than Atlas would ever give her credit for. That's mainly cause, at the time, Atlas was a jackass. A physically intimidating jackass, but a jackass none-the-less. However, contrary to belief, he was a very dedicated jackass.
There is one mission that sticks out to him in his memory. It was a simple clearing out of a hideout. However, Euclid got caught. Someone was feeding them information, much to Atlas's displeasure. Atlas was 30 at this point, and this is widely considered the last mission he did.
Once Euclid was caught, he was supposed to ditch her. However, Atlas was stubborn. Atlas finished the proper mission first, and then went on a manhunt of sorts. Atlas was on a mission. A self-made mission.
Once He found the place she was being held, the bars that were holding Euclid were kicked out and she was out of the cage she was being held in. She wasn't afraid. In fact, she was more calm than Atlas was, at that point. That...actually terrified Atlas. For a woman who wasn't even released from his actual bindings, she stood there as calm as stone. That was truly terrifying. But. But. It meant that they hadn't traumatized her. She was as calm as normal.
"I know who fed them the information. They suck at keeping secrets."
That was the first words that she had said when he arrived. She was straight and to the point. He radioed it in. He broke the bindings that held the rest of Euclid limbs. They separated and were to enter in separate paths. Euclid wasn't the one caught, or at least, not properly. She was shot in the stomach twice. The fact that she was even alive when he saw her again was impressive. It didn't matter, however, as when he arrived, there was a gun to Euclid's head. Sure, this wasn't the first time, but this time, was distinctly different.
Usually, he didn't have a time limit. He could take his time, methodically plan. Rarely did he have some sort of limiting time limit. However, with Euclid bleeding out, he didn't have time to make stupid shit up. He had to go go go. Once he arrived in the room, other than Euclid bleeding to death, he was met with three people. First, the guy who was leaking info. The other two looked like terrifying martial artists.
Little known fact. Atlas, like the academy he hails from, is not a coward. First, a larger fellow came up to fight him. He was the hardest, by far, since none of Atlas's attacks particularly hurt the guy. That was, until, he drew upon inspiration from Magnus and used the guys weight against him, breaking an arm before throwing him to the ground. However, that tired out Atlas. It was clear the second one, who was a much smaller woman, was betting on. She started it with a triangle chokehold, and clearly planned on ending it like it. However... Atlas was big. Atlas was strong. Atlas was durable. All that meant was that, while being choked, he lifted the woman up and slammed her on the ground, before finishing up the fight with two elbows to the nose.
Next, Lt.Jack.
The fight ended faster than it had any right to. Jack was taken down in one hit, a shot to the throat. There was a fourth member, but they were holding a gun to Euclids head.
Thank god Atlas was as good at this as he was. Atlas drew fast and shot the man in the ribs, before charging and smashing the man into the wall.
He finished his two mission fiasco by carrying a dead Euclid out of the building, and qutting shortly after.
He was granted a request to retire and live in Bellmuse; where he's a police officer.

- Atlas yawned. He was sitting in his car for the longest time. Nothing was happening. Nothing was happening because Bellmuse was fairly tame. That was, until, he got a call to diffuse a bunch of teenagers fighting. He was told that if they hit him, he was able to hit back. He was fine with that arrangement. Once he arrived, they didn't stop fighting. He went in and separated them. Apaprently, the parents wanted him to teach them a lesson. Sure.
He pulled out his baton, flipping it into position. First kid decided to come at him, in such a hyper rage. SMASH! Another came. SMASH! A third! SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! They were falling like dominoes, which Atlas found funny. He finished up the stop after smashing the rest who charged him. They became less excited and more in pain.
Oh well. Their fault. Not his. He’d just have to file paperwork.
