Rayne Hill

Rayne Hill
He listen to the professoer and sonata talk back and forth then xidkoh just stating the plain and obvious but in a careless voice. The professor went on with stating that nevermores could be taken down but only by taking away their flight and having it fight on your terms. But it was harder than what they'd think.
Rayne felt a chill go down his back as the professor finished with the remark of having someone die a gruesome way and only having pieces left of the body trying to take on a grim by himself. He sure wouldn't want to do anything by himself, more akin to following and supporting others than fighting by himself.

Warren Novack

Warren glanced between the various students in the room. He frowned a little to himself as Keyhl spoke about a friend of his who was torn apart by a Nevermore, but not much else. He mentally asked himself why everyone was reacting the way they did, seemingly in quiet shock and surprise. A Nevermore was obviously a powerful Grimm, and being a Hunter was a dangerous job. It was no real surprise that there were deaths in the field, and furthermore, there was a rather large difference between hearing about someone's death and actually seeing someone die. He told himself that he'd never do something that stupid, but... a small part part of him bothered him, telling him that he could probably do it... He could take on a Nevermore alone... Warren did his best to ignore that part of his mind. He stayed silent, not having much else to say.

Xidkoh

Xidkoh
Xidkoh knew how dangerous and unexpected the grimm could be but a nevermore was mean. Only a master huntsman could take one down alone, or so he heard. Though it would be entirely possible to take one down with a group, he didn't care to try unless he had to. He acted smug, but he knew his limits, and a nevermore was past them. He didn't have much else to do, other than sit and listen.

Keyhl watched the reaction of his students and let them sit in silence for a short time before continuing to teach. "Death Stalkers." He said standing from his chair and again moving about he room. "Mister Hill touched on them earlier but I would like to elaborate more. The Death Stalker's golden stinger appears to glow, although the exact reason for this is unknown. As Rayne said they have large white plates covering the majority of their upper body. Which makes them quite resilient, but their weak point is their lower body where they are not armored. Much like a Nevermore a Death Stalker has great physical strength, and can easily crush stone. Despite it's great resilience they can be stunned by powerful blows. An interesting fact about the Death Stalker is the fact that their own stinger can penetrate their armor with little force even though most weapons do little to no damage to their armor.”

Keyhl paused his speaking to see if anyone had questions while continuing to saunter about the classroom. His head jerked slightly as he heard a voice in his head, one not his own. Daddy?

Sonata

Sonata
It looked like they were going to have a general overview of the monsters that hunters and huntresses normally fought. Sonata supposed she was okay with this, though she was going to have to research some of them some more soon so she wouldn't be missing any crucial information. She let out a small, almost unnoticeable sigh as Professor Riven moved on to deathstalkers. She wasn't much more familiar with them than she was the previous creature, so any information was good. She, along with the rest of the class, was informed that the deathstalker's stinger was powerful enough to pierce even their own armor, which seemed to Sonata to be an odd trait. Still, she wasn't going to complain if it meant an easier way to take care of the scorpion-like creature. She was about to ask a question when Prof. Riven jerked slightly, as if he thought he heard something. "Is something wrong, Professor?" she asked, just to be sure.

Rayne hid a small smile as the professor pointed him out but ducked his head from some of the stares from other students as they looked at him. He liked attention but not a lot as he was a bit shy that way. He listened to him expand from what he knew and wrote some key points that the professor had made about them.

He watched as the professor jerk for a reason and sonata asked the question he wondered as well as he looked on waiting for some answer to the professor's jerk. Maybe some twitch of his he has, maybe something to do with an old injury? Who know's as the answer was limitless, as he wondered what the professor would say about the question and he was eager to learn other stuff as well.
