Overall Personality: Charon was raised in non-ideal circumstances. Because of this he has a hard time trusting anyone, having only ever relied on himself and a team of thieves in order to survive. Even then, he always knew that they stole and fought together because they were stronger as a group, not because there was any real connection of a team. Charon's upbringing has made him bitter, part of the reason he refuses to use his birth name, as he sees it as something to throw away, much like he was. Charon has a need to prove that he's more than trash and isn't worthless, and will often overexert himself in any task that he's assigned. Charon doesn't know what it will take to make him feel important, but he approaches every task with the hope of finding that purpose.

Semblance: After landing a blow with his weapon, Charon is able to make his opponent's armor physically weaker by applying rust to the makeup of the armor, and thus lower their defensive stats against any further blows. This semblance follows the "Debuff" rules of either affecting a single opponent, or multiple.
Item 1: A pair of shackles that bind to Charon's wrists. Each one contains five feet of chains attached to them that Charon can lash out in a fashion similar to a whip. When moving around or in class, Charon usually has the chains wrapped around his arms and under his sleeves to keep them out of sight. [Tier 1 Weapon]

History and Sample
- History:
- Charon doesn't remember anything before being alone. All he remembers was being found by a street gang and being taken in. HE wasn't taken in because of any sincere form of affection, but kids were often turned in to good pickpockets and spies as few people took them seriously or paid that much attention to them. Growing up in a rough part of Mistral, near Haven Academy, Neal was eventually given the name of Charon in an attempt to appear tougher. Neal accepted the name, as he found that holding on to a name given to him by the parents who abandoned him was foolish. The gang may have taken him in for selfish reasons, but they had done more to help him live than anyone else had.
Charon spent several years stealing and hurting people in order to just survive. Sometimes there were disputes between gangs and things would turn violent. Charon could land solid punches though, and he could take a hit with the best of them. However, his gang was small, and it wasn't long until they pissed off a group who had the sheer numbers to wipe them all out. The other gang leader was an older boy that went by the name of "Creed", for everything he said was law, and he declared for Charon's gang to be wiped out.
That night, blood was spilled and filled the streets with crimson. Seeing so many friends getting cut down, Charon fought as valiantly as he could. Eventually he was the only gang member left, keeping his enemies at bay with a simple chain he had picked up to defend himself with. Before he could be completely overwhelmed, the police arrived and arrested everyone involved, Charon included. He was kept away from the other gang for his own safety, and that was when a visitor approached him, a stranger with an offer and a change that could change Charon's life forever. He believed that Charon had potential, and he believed that had Charon been raised differently that he could have had a different path laid out for him. The man gave Charon a choice. Charon would either train with the stranger and attempt to gain entrance to the Syne academy, or Charon could go to jail for the rest of his life.
The choice was obvious.
Years later, Charon found himself on board a vessel heading to Syne, where he would be surrounded by no one who knew of his previous life. The stranger wanted Charon to make a difference, but even with years of training Charon still didn't know why the man had sought him out and wanted to help. Charon saw the opportunity though, and he sought a stronger form of himself. He was going to matter.

- "Has anyone else spoken to the boy yet?" the man asked as he looked through the clear glass to see Charon sitting at a table.
"Not yet sir, he was about to be interrogated. The facts are rather clear though, I do believe-"
The man held up a hand and signaled the officer to stop speaking. "I believe that I'll speak to the boy alone if you don't mind, and I don't plan on being overheard" he said as he walked out the door. The tone of his voice made it clear that this was not a request, but a direct order. The man walked down a short hallway before finding the door that led in to Charon's holding cell. He walked in, not even looking to Charon as the boy looked the man over.
"You don't look like law enforcement...dressed way too nicely for it" Charon said as he watched the man for a moment. The boy couldn't help but wonder who this visitor was, but something about him just seemed off...something was different. "Who are you?"
The man just smiled before opening a small folder. It had information on everyone of Charon's former gang. All deceased now with the exception of the boy in front of him. The man flipped to the page with Charon's face and information on it. "Oh Neal, we have a lot to talk about" he said with the smallest of smiles. This man was the first person to use Charon's real name in years.
