HP 100|200 Aura
Personality
Major: Combat Major
Likes: Hunting, stories of impressive feats and heroes, sleeping, a good meal
Dislikes: Liars, people who rely on luck, being told she's a coward, homework
Fears: Dying from her illness rather than in the line of duty, getting too attached to someone that it'd cloud her judgement, not being able to summon K-9
Overall Personality: Mary is the overly optimistic kind of girl, always finding something good about something however bad it may be, to the point that others have found her attitude rather rude in some occasion. She doesn't mean to be offensive with her positive thinking, she just thinks that everyone's life is too short to see all the bad things the world is constantly throwing at us. She herself will have an especially short life compared to others, so she tries her best to see as much good as she can before leaving this world and hopes to create great things herself. Marissa's overly positiveness did brought their own share of bad things however as it made her become naive and gullible, trusting others with her life for as few as a smile. After some rather unfortunate events though, she learned from that and now do quick researches about anyone or anything before mindlessly believing what she is told. Besides that she is generally a cheerful girl who wants to help others and leave her mark on the world as a Huntress.

Summon Description: Robotic assault canine unit, well armored yet very agile and able to shoot different types of ammunition if the necessary Dust or the right item is used. This function is mainly for crowd control by using the available status effects. The appearance is as shown in Marissa's FC image. The main use is to distract the target and protect Marissa while she take them down from afar. The way they form themselves is as if they appeared from a parallel cyber world, a redish electronic distortion is visible near her while the dog walks out of it.
Summon height: 2'9"
Summon HP Points: 5
Summon Damage Points: 1
Item 1: Weapon Tier 1; Energy Assault Rifle, the magazine is in fact a power core which generates the energy bolts that the gun fires. Rather than reloading, the core has to cool off and in order to do that Mary has to remove it and place it in the refregirated punch she carries with her. She has three cores with her at all time and has a dozen kept safely in a case if one needs to be changed for repairs.
Item 2: Physical Armor Tier 1; Tactical Assault Vest, nothing special about it
History and Sample
- History:
- Difficulties at birth, grim diagnosis of an illness, parents with soldiers' background... nothing seemed easy for the little Marissa, as if good old lady Fate didn't want her to enjoy life, but she kept fighting and kept living. Every hardship would be met with a smile and determination as it was the way her parents raised her. Both being ex-soldiers in Atlas' military and with her mother still working as a Huntress while her father stayed to raise her at home due to a grave illness, Mary grew up with the knowledge that one day one of the two people she cherished the most could one day exit her life, or even both, which sadly happened. Her father ended up succumbing to the disease he had been fighting for years while her mother one day went on a extermination mission, only to never come back.
Her parents didn't left her to herself though, of course not. After their deaths, Marissa went living with her godfather who reluctantly accepted to train her like her parents so she too could help the world by fighting the good fight. However, she would learn that because of her illness which is the same that her father had, Atlas' army wouldn't take her in, so she turned to becoming a Huntress, which was as noble if not more. As long as she would do something her parents would be proud of, it was fine for her. If she couldn't become a soldier, she would at least train and fight like one. Using her late father's custom energy assault rifle as her weapon of choice, she grew strong and passionate in the art of battle and warfare.
A word on that illness Marissa and her father shares. It's a incurable disease that causes a sudden and deadly degeneration of the brain tissues, similar to the Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. The difference is that this new illness, which is believed to be a variant of the well known one, is seemingly caused by a parasitic being nested in the brain of its host and releases the chemicals that cause the rapid degeneration if its life is threatened. Since there is no way to remove it safely or any way to prevent the release of the chemicals, Mary's life could end at any time without anyone being able to do a thing about it.

- Day: Monday __ Location:Schwarz's Domain, Northern region of Atlas __ Hour: 2330
-Come on Mary, this is the only condition I'm asking!
-But why!? Are you really going to do nothing to get me there? I want to go where Mom and Dad went!
-You know full well young lady that they will never take you, not with the knowledge of your disease. Why do you think your father quit the military? They "asked him politely to leave" so they wouldn't have to deal with his death. Do you really think that it will be different with you?
-But!
-No "buts"! This is all I can do for you and you know I would do more if I could.
-I know...
This was the first time that Hector, Marissa's godfather, and her ever argued. She wasn't the type to get mad over something, but this time it was really important to her. The thing is, with her illness, there's no way for her to join Atlas' military or even their Huntsmen school since they share pretty much the same administration. Because of that, Hector offered to send her abroad to another Academy where she could fulfill her desire to help the world by shooting down Grimms. But the idea of not being able to train here in Atlas where her parents trained wasn't one that she liked. Mary was looking down to the floor as she was siting at the table with her godfather. She thought to herself about everything that was implied in changing Kingdom. She'd start totally anew and probably alone, something she wasn't really ready to.
"Look, I know it's a hard decision to take, but it's really all I can do. I heard that Bellmuse is a beautiful place, I'm sure you'll love it there. I wish I could offer you the choice of the school across all of Remnant, but besides Atlas it's the only place I have contacts."
Marissa looked back up at Hector and smiled.
-Fine, I guess I don't have much choice anyway. It'll be a good opportunity to see more of this world.
-Now there's the Mary I know! I'm sure you'll do just fine over there even on your own. And anyway you always have that dog with you.
-It has a name you know! It's K-9!
-Right, the bad pun...
-Hey!
-What? It's true! Anyway, you should get some rest now. I'll handle everything in order for you to get to Bellmuse in time for the new semester.
Marissa nodded to her godfather before heading to her room, her head filled with fear and excitement, not knowing what will await her in this new Kingdom.
