Critical hit and glancing blows

Is there a system for critical/glancing hits?

I haven't seen anything on it personally, more of an Rped thing than a damage thing otherwise people would abuse the heck out of it, your closest bet to increased damage would be status effects or upgrading weapon tier. I may be wrong though

I was thinking more along the lines of being stabbed in the kidneys doing more damage than being shot in the foot.

Sadly again that would be more of an rped effect as stats and weapon tiers/ dust tiers/ semblances are the only real damage dealers we have without making any brand new rper as godly as a third year student with upgraded equipment. Basically easiest thing I can tell you is farm Grimm for exp, upgrade your weapon, then no matter what poking someone with a tier 5 pencil would be the equivalent of a shotgun slug to the chest in real terms. If you want increased damage another option is status effecting people with things such as bleed with the status rolls, see status effects for more details on that as there are a few of them.
