The blue of the environment was blinding. One could scarcely see where the trees ended and the sky began, so pure and unbroken as it seemed. Varialis was fairly well camouflaged with all things considered. His jacket was brown and his hair was black, however the metallic chrome of his shield and breastplate gave his facade up fairly quickly. He wasn't here to hide, so it was time to make some noise. He planted his shield on his back and crouched himself lower to the ground.
In a flash he took off, running almost on all fours with his ears flattened against his head. He jumped over trees, branches and other flora that called the forest bed their home. He climbed, swung, and slid through it all like the land belonged to him and him alone, and barely took notice when the rain began to fall. He was hunting, and he would have his prey.
