Overall Personality: Salem is a level headed, socially awkward young lady. She is the kind of person who overanalyzes every situation, something which often causes her great social anxieties. Because of this, Salem is not what one would call “Outgoing”. Joining Syne academy was the most outgoing thing she had ever done, well, on purpose that is. Most of the time, Salem can be found outside in the courtyard, reading a book under the tree, avoiding almost any social interaction. Salem isn’t really one for training anything other than her brain, however, if her teammates pester her about it, a sense of obligation will inevitably sink in. The feeling of letting someone down, terrifies her. Salem also feels a sense of obligation being at her friends training sessions, whether or not she is actively training with them. She typically just stands on the side lines, reading a book, and waiting around just in case someone gets injured, and her medical knowledge is needed.
Abilities
Aura type: Spirit
Aura Color: Mauve
Semblance: The Adaptable Golem;
Summon Description: Salem can summon an 8 foot tall golem. It appeares to be made out of flesh like a human being, but is actually created out of raw, magical power. After it is summoned, Salem can throw 1 use of dust on it, forcing the creature to adapt to the dust surrounding it, and altering its form, giving it the abilities of the element given to it. However, it does this with any dust. However, it is not immune to dust attacks. If it is struck with dust from an enemy, it will not only take damage from it, but it will adapt to the dust.
- Raw form:
- Dust Forms:
Summon HP Points: 5 (50 HP)
Summon Damage Points: 1 (10 DP)
Item 1: Gaia Driller: The Gaia Driller is a large, purple metal brace which coats the forearm. It is 1 inch thick, and contains many mechanics, along with multiple storage hatches for imputting dust. It is typically covered up by Salems sleeve. Whe activated, the mechanics form a 2 foot long drill. The drill spins, and can be shot out, connected to a chain so that Salem can reel it back in. If filled, Salem can press down on one of the dust hatches, in order for it to release, consuming the drill, and forming a combined attack. (Red dust for exsplosions, Green dust for Cyclones, ect).
Item 2: Green Dust (Wind) x2 vials
History and Sample
- History:
- Salem was born into a middle class family, which resided in the forests of an island not too far off from the Bellmuse shores. Her mother was a Doctor, and her father, a former hunter, became the owner of a local dust store up in a neighboring city. Salem fell in love with both of her parents, and their professions. She couldn't help herself from being the upmost intrigued by the dust that her father so often collected and sold. From the time she was born, Salem was constantly being taught about the different colors, and various uses of the magical pulverized crystals.
The same goes for Salem and her mother. She spent most of her years, between the ages of 5 and 13, job shadowing her mother after the school days were over.
Salem was over taken by joy with both professions, and by the age of 13, she had decided to combine her two passions. She would go train to be an in combat medic, a huntress, of some shorts.
However, before Salem had the chance to tell her parents of her knew life plans, they were attacks by Grimm. Living in the middle of the forest had many perks, it was quiet, peaceful, and no neighbors to bother you, no neighbors to help you, either. Salems father ran out to keep them safe. As her father was out of fighting Grimm, one had managed to sneak into the house. Before Salem knew it was there, she watched her mother fall to the ground, her arm in the jaw of a low level Grimm.
Without even thinking about it, a creature appeared in front of Salem, and tackled the Grimm to the ground. The father ran back inside after hearing the screams, and finished off the Grimm that had taken the life of her mother.
Salem then spent the next two years of her life contemplating whether or not she should tell her father about her plans to join a combat academy. At the age of 15, she decided to tell him. At first, her father was in shock. Terrified of losing both his wife, and his daughter. However, he decided that, if it was what his daughter wanted, then how could he stop her?
The next day, he sat her down, and they starting making plans for a new weapon, the Gaia driller.
For the next two years, Salem was home schooled. Her father would teach her combat, how to use the weapon, keep its maintenance, and while he was at work, she would read her mother’s old medical note books.
At the age of 17, she applied too, and was accepted into Syne Academy.
- RP Sample:
- Salems eyes opened wide with disbelief as she watched her mother fall the ground. Behind her, a growling Grimm chewing on what used to be her mother’s arm. An odd, Mauve-purple colored aura began to glow around her, and before her, a creature appeared. A behemoth, 6 feet tall, 3 feet wide. A creature comparable only to the mythical Hercules. Before Salem knew was what going on, the creature had tackled the Grimm to the ground.
The creature was on top of the Grimm, a large, gorilla-ish beast. Although the monster, which appeared out of thin air, had spent well over a few second beating down onto the Grimm, the Grimm finally decided that it had had enough. Reaching up, it gripped onto the creatures head, and tossed him into the medicine combat.
“What, whats going on...?” Salem asked, her voice shaky, still in shock as she looked down at the vessel which used to carry her mothers soul. As tears began to flow from her eyes, she began to notice the glow emanating off of her body. “How,” Looking up, she saw that the creature fighting the Grimm shared the same glow.
That is, until a vial of red dust fell off of the shelf, breaking on top of the creatures head. Flames began to consume the creature, black, molten rock type armor began to form around its head and shoulders. It was then the creature began to burn the Grimm. A squeal like nothing Salem had ever heard before spewed out of the Grimms mouth as the fiery hands of the creature grasped around its neck.
It was then, however, that a loud bang filled the room. A large hole appeared in the chests of both the Grimm, and the Creature attacking it. As both creatures faded into thin air, Salem looked up to see what had happened, only to see her father standing in the door way. A cannon in his hands, and a stream of tears running down his eyes.
