Border Patrol [Hunt](Open)

Gricelda leaps on yet another tree branch, scanning the forest canopy for Grimm activity yet not was found, at least from this elevation. Gris lets out a grunt in annoyance as she leans her back onto main tree trunk behind her. She knew very well this forest was infested with Grimm to defeat but they were surprisingly proving themselves elusive. She close somewhat as her faunus ears twitch in every direction, trying to pick up the slightest hint of a sound. Then she heard it... slight rustling below. It was faint but there was something moving in her direction on the forest floor. Could be a Grimm... or a some woodland critter. It was the first bit of temptation of excitement on this otherwise dull hunt so Gricelda literlay jumped on the chance. She gets up from the tree trunk she was leaning on and leaps from the branch and onto the forest floor below. Before her feet land onto the ground, she activates her sembalance so cushion her fall and landing with out injury. This of course sends a modest gust of wind radiating out from her landing zone that stirs up the leaf litter all around her. Gris wastes no time in preparing for battle as she raises her sheild protectively and holds out her hatchet menaclying. Once looks up and sees the creature in front of her was none of other Kei, Gris lets out a sigh and relaxes her posture.

"Oh... it was only you" mumbles the wolf girl who seemed more interested in the immediate area surrounding her than the human she had previously worked with that one other time. Seeing nothing of immediate interest, she looks back to Kei and asks:

"Out hunting for Grimm as well? I guess your having just about as much luck as I have."

Level 1 Boartusk With 20 Damage Fortitude

Nose followed tail followed nose as a quadruped beast rolled through the forest at a frankly astonishing speed. Little could stand in it's way, not beast nor man. It had been spinning for a good half an hour by this point, tearing up dirt and leaves throughout the forest. Just looking for something to amuse itself with. Eventually the beast found it, or rather them. Circling around the pair of hunters once at it's great speed the beast then seemed to launch itself into the air, crashing into the trunk of a tree. Due to the beast's great momentum the tree was felled without a hitch, coming down toward the pair.

The beast stopped it's spinning, hardly disorientated, before landing on it's all fours and rushing forward tusks first. Just as the tree hit the ground the dark boar rushed for the faunus girl, being big enough to crash it's horns into her belly region. With a gnarly grunt it then thrust it's head upward, hoping to pierce the girl's flesh.

The beast had been looking for something to interest it for hours upon hours now, it most certainly wanted to have fun with the prey it had found.

Gricelda rolls her amber hued eyes and swings her axe to rest upon her right shoulder.

"You could show a little more initiative?  I mean... how are you suppose to fight at your most ablest when you are secretly hoping to avoid conflict?  Either give it your all or none at-" speaks Gricelda with a bit of vigor in her voice when she suddenly stops.

Her ears twitch as she turns her head to the souse of the noise.  By the time she looked, there was already tree just about to fall right on top of her.  Gricelda wasted no time in leaping backwards to safety as the tree falls right in front of her.  Before she could react, the Boaratusk already upon her and whacked her away with its powerful set of tusk.

"WHHHHhhhaaaaaa!" screamed Gricelda as she was sent flying into the air until her backside hit the trunk of a tree that suddenly put an end to her momentum.  The forceful impact was surely going to leave a mark on the poor girl as she slides down along the tree trunk and onto the forest floor.

Gricelda promptly does her best to shack off the impact as she gets up.  Even with her aura offering some protection her backside felt sore.

"Ugghh... why is it ALWAYS an ambush?  And why is it that its ALWAYS me they go after" viciously she snarls while picking up her hatchet from the leaf litter.

Once she collected herself, Gricelda approaches the monstrous black boar.  Her pace starts off slow but the closer she approaches the faster she becomes.  As she nears her opponent, she raises her ax and swings it vertically right onto the its bony headcrest, followed up by two horizontal slashes on the creatures face.  In hindsight, this wasn't the smartest thing to do as all of her attacks would strike the creatures defensive bony protrusions which was the toughest part part when attacking a Grimm.  Still, the wolf faunus was too flushed with anger to care for the most optimal plan of attack as she just... wanted to attack the creature that was bold enough to think that it could best her in combat!

The beast seemed to accidentally avoid the boy's rockets, hardly noticing them as they blew past the beast's heels and into the immediate treeline. This was mostly due to the beast's limited cognitive ability making it so that it could only really focus on attacking the girl, thus wasn't aware enough to be spooked by the explosives.

Upon hitting the girl the beast took a moment to gloat, snorting happily and pridefully swinging it's tusks around... only for the girl to run up at it, attempting to slash the beast's head in with her axe. This was... ineffective to say the least, the blade clattering off it's head. Not damaging the beast but stunning it. Flinching in shock the beast caught the girl's weapon with it's tusk, this however had the unfortunate side effect of forcing the axe head into the beast's eyes.

The boar shook it's head wildly at first, hoping to disarm the woman, before rushing forward in an attempt to run her down. Horns primed to push her into the ground before trampling her if it should land. It's remaining set of eyes then locked with the boy, letting out a further snort the grimm grinnded to a halt before scraping it's front right hove once.

Lurching over it's head the beast once more became a rolling boar, rushing straight for the blonde man. If it could just and a blow on them both it would feel confident.

Gricelda could feel the ease of the hatchet head lodging itself into one of the beast's blood red eye balls.  As the boarbatusk reels and shakes it head back in pain, Gricelda finds herself being jerks about as she holds firmly onto her hatchet that is still stuck in the creatures eye socket.  When at last the hatchet frees itself, Gricelda found herself pulled to by the ground by the beasts overgrown tusks then afterwards trampled her with its cloven hooves.  While the impact of each hoof digging itself into her body certainly hurt, it was but scraps and bruises mostly.  Gricelda shakes herself like a dog as she brushes off the dirt and grim she gathered as she rolling on the ground under the boarbatusk's feet.

Once she has regained her bearings, her predatory search for her prey which seems to be preoccupied with her... fellow student Kei.  Gricelda wasted no time as she propels herself to the creatues's unarmored backside, readiying her hatchet.

"Huuuraaaahhh!" snarls the wolf girl as she swings the ax in her hand in a horizontal arc in front of her.

Gricelda would then take another step forward behind the pig Grimm as she preforms two diagonal slices with her weapon.

"Hraaaa!  Hhaaa!" she grunts as she brings down her weapon for the two diagonal strikes to quarter the creatures hindquarters.

The beast managed to bound over the incoming rocket, spinning at such a great speed did wonders for it's maneuverability. When it collided with the man it was fortunate in that it's head was lowered, however the beast was unfortunate in that the man's weapons were quite affective. The combo of the dart, piercing a hole though the bone rather than the neck as it had been aimed, and the electric shock disorientated the beast. In it's stunned state the beast thrashed wildly, aimed to tusk smack the man's chest as it dropped.

The beast ran rampant, bashing it's head off trees, managing to dislodge the tool in it's head. The girl manage to catch the beast's tail with it's initial horizontal slash, but it rounded a corner to prevent the next two. With a squeal it circled the entire tree, ending up behind the faunus girl. With a loud snot the beast lowered it's head, flipping up the dirt and rocks in front of it in an attempt to damage and disorientate her.

Gricelda raises her shied to protect her face from the sand and dirt being churned up by the Boarbatusk.  Much of the airborne pebbles deflected harmlessly off her shield.  She then swings away the shield with her left arm, a current of air blowing in front of her to disperse the dust lingering in air upon activating her semblance.  Really the only damage it managed to do to her was launching a rounded fist-sized stone straight into her shin.  While it did hurt, Gricelda was otherwise unfazed.

Seeing that Kei was already ensnaring the swine with his wire and was set to position himself close to the Boarbatusk, Gricelda settled for dashing to the Boarbatusk.  As she approaches, she falls and slides along the ground just next to the Boarbatusk.  She extends her hatchet to cripple the beast's legs as she slides low to the ground.  After she slides past both Kei and the Boarbatusk, she flips herself into a crouching position just as she finishes her sliding attack, her hatchet still extended as she looks out to both Kei and the the pig.

Level 1 Boarbatusk with 20 Fortitude and 0/70hp

The beast was stunned as a gale blew toward it, air quickly shooting up it's snout. There was hardly time to understand what had happened before it was turned to ash. The chord wrapped around it's neck, head being snapped backward as the rope tightened and the neck was crushed.

As it was pulled upward it was cut down from beneath by the girl, feeling it's legs torn out from beneath itself. The beast let out a horrific sequel, alike a legitimate pig being slaughtered by a timid new butcher who simply didn't know the ropes. A leg fell from the beast as the harpoon struck it's remaining good eye. Being torn out onto the hook before quickly evaporating to nothing. A slight wetness left on the boy's weapon.

With a last cry out the beast was bested, the husk quickly turning to dust and dispersing out into the air. It would take a good five or so minutes for the monster to disappear totally but needless to say, it was certainly dead.
