Reoccurring NPCs

Hey everyone, I was thinking about how everyone has backstories and there are going to be people in them that might be reoccurring characters throughout the stories here at Syne. So I thought it might be cool to have a place to post about your reoccurring NPCs.

For instance, in Hyght's own "The Red Moon Waxes" we get a look at Bartholomew Samos, a friend of Hyght's that he met at the academy. Bart is the son of two hunters, one that now works at Syne as a teacher(subject matter still unsure) and the other is still a full time huntress. The Samos offspring has known he would be a hunter since he was small and trained with his family for many years. Bart uses a six foot spear that is able to collapse down into a two-foot version of itself, the spear also uses shotgun shells. However, the gun form of this weapon has yet to be seen. Not much else has been revealed about Bart yet but he is looking to be a reoccurring character so he gets a picture to show his appearance.

Bartholomew Samos
Bart is six feet tall and is well muscled, he's a very capable fighter and is very intuitive, and he has a deeper voice than Hyght does.

Following Bart is his father but since he hasn't appeared in the threads yet I wont be posting him.

So this is sort of what I wanted to do. I'll flesh out an easy character sheet skeleton(nothing fancy like an active character's) to make the info easier to read. If you like the idea, feel free to drop some info on some NPCs of yours. This way if we're away for a while we can snap back here and remember an npc without being all confused.

I like the idea of having a general NPC list, I think it adds more depth to this site. Feel free to use any of these NPCs as long as you don't try to kill them off or something.

Name: Garth Galvon; Thread

Weapon of Choice: Fire
History: Really not much is known about Garth other then the fact he is an old man with exceptionally high amount of skill with Fire Dust. A lot of his techniques come from manipulating the energy from fire dust with his own aura. Garth hints at a dark past every now and then. Garth also will note with some sense of regret that the only thing that comes from his skill is the ability to destroy. Kei met Garth for the first time out in the streets of Bellmuse Central, where Garth for some reason decided to offer Kei basic fire dust training.

Occupation: Mechanic, Gadgetry, Inventor
Weapon of Choice: Unknown
History: Owns a mechanic shop in the sketchy part of Bellmuse Central. The shop itself is called "Toys Of The West" and is unappealing on the outside with paint peeling, windows bordered up, etc. The inside of the shop is also a mess with gadgets lying all over the place. The Owner is a very socially awkward person and at times can make communicating a bit difficult. The only reason he gets business is because he is a genius at creating and upgrading weapons, armor, vehicles, and other mechanical things. Also has little disregard for personal safety, and may add somewhat dangerous aspects to what he is working on if it means improving the overall quality of it.

History: William A. Giovanni is an Archaeologist who spent a large portion of his life researching the long lost city of Duz'rar. Being the most skilled in his field of work as well as finding an entryway into the city, Giovanni was offered the chance to lead an Expedition into Duz'rar by Vanheim Freelance Industry.

History: Amy Trish graduated from Atlas Academy and took up the role of being a field medic. Extremely skilled in her field despite having little apathy for others. She was hired by Vanheim Freelance Industries for an expedition to the long lost city of Duz'rar.

History: Sir Orion served in the Atlesian Military Special Forces and is what he is most known for. Though his identity is known, a lot of what he did whilst serving in the special forces is either censored or completely buried away. Sir Orion earned his title of 'Knight' while serving in the special forces. After Sir Orion retired from the military, he picked up work as a Private Contractor for Vanheim Freelance Industries. Currently, Sir Orion is innvolved in the expedition to the long lost city of Duz'rar as a supervisor from Vanheim Freelance Industries.

Weapon of Choice: Completely red combat knife
History: A disgruntled father, he was 'murdered' by his own son, Grenal. However, his body was found with little life left in it, and he's been turned into a killing machine. The little bit alive is telling him to go avenge himself.

Name: Perrot Martins AKA 'Perri'
Age: 22
Appearance: The typical dockworker of Syne. Solid built, sun burnt, smiles broad enough for all around to enjoy. In this particular case, also a rich mane of curly black locks and beard that gave him the face of a fairy tale pirate captain.
Occupation: Sailor
History: One of Marcus' old mates. Born to a typical lower class family and raised around the docks. A confident honest worker who enjoys the simple things in life. If not out to sea, he can often be found relaxing in the Creak's Tavern and Inn. Once organised a pirate themed stag party for a friend complete with an actual parade float pirate ship.

Fenrir's older brother and a survivor of the family massacre. He left a haunting message that has driven his younger brother to near insanity trying to figure out as his revenge. Completely amoral, he won't hesitate to kill anyone he wants to regardless of whether or not their death is necessary. Like all members of the Sable family, he has glyph semblance and uses eldricht glyphs to summon wraiths and project his voice as well as shroud himself in darkness...

History: She is literally insane. Fenrir's cousin, she has been in love with him since he had saved her during a contract gone bad shortly before he massacred the Sable Head Family. Her lightning glyphs combined with her equipment make her excellent at urban combat, often taking jobs in the city do she can be close to her love. Fenrir does not seem to appreciate the attention.

Gallahad's manservant (butler), Azure is skilled in many things...*many* things...ranging from swordsmanship to piloting a stolen Atlas warship. The only thing keeping him from being a knight, or even a huntsman, is is less than desirable past. Once a member of White Fang, Azure was a notorious mass murderer who was betrayed when Adam Taurus took over and left for dead. Gallahad's father, Grimbold Argent, saved the faunus' life and since then Azure has sworn undying loyalty to the Argent family. From time to time his homicidal tendencies will surface, usually in the face of the endless horde of grimm. His semblance is Blink, similar to Blake's shadow clones except the clones can move and defend (but for whatever reason, they don't attack).

Name: Jared Gaston

Age: 30

Occupation: Bodyguard?



Information: assigned to protect Fuyuko by The Master, Jared takes his duties seriously and is constantly trying to keep his ward in sight. When the cult they belonged to was broken up, he spent a couple years in prison and then managed to escape so he could find and protect the girl. He is extremely jealous and possessive and will quickly resort to violence in order to stay by Fuyuko and protect her. He wears reinforced gloves and his vertigo semblance is a nightmare for any who he touches.
