Overall Personality: Ourian is very gentle and kind, but tends to keep to himself. It is very rare that he is angered. If successfully angered, however, Ourian will display a much darker side of him that he tends to keep hidden. This Dark Side, if you will, is a result of a past that he has yet to come to terms with. While sketching or writing, Ourian tends to be oblivious to those around, focusing solely on what he is working on. If interrupted, he will lash out in agitation; verbally, of course. For those who can see past this silent loner facade, one will find a very close and loyal companion in him.

Semblance: Light Manipulation - Ourian has the ability to alter and manipulate light from any source, even manifest it from the glow of his own aura. Ourian cannot, however, manipulate Dust-based light, since that light was willed into existence by a means other than a natural light source (Aura, Electricity, Fire, sunlight, moonlight, etc.)While his Semblance is active, Ourian can use his Light Manipulation to dish out an array of ranged attacks, as well as defensive ones as well. Ourian cannot, however, use a defensive ability at the same time as an offensive one, for he must maintain an intense focus and using both Offense and Defense with his Semblance at the same time breaks his focus and will cause him to lose his grip on his Semblance. Ourian can also use his Defensive Abilities on those around him, but at the cost of being unable to use his Semblance for anything other than defending that target. The target MUST be within fifty feet of him for this.
Raigetsu - Ourian's signature ability while using his Semblance. Ourian gathers light into his palm or weapon, and releases it in a line in front of him in the form of a bursting beam of light (a crescent wave of energy in the case of his sword). On rare occasions, this ability can damage nearby objects, depending on the intensity of Ourian's focus.
Burst - Ourian generates light around his weapon or hands to amplify his damage output. Ourian tends to use this first upon activating his Semblance since he can gather Light at a controlled rate around his body to use at his discretion, as well as prepare for Raigetsu.
Flash - An ability used to get distance between himself and multiple foes by releasing a shockwave of light from his aura. This is a last resort ability due to it using his aura as a source of light and taking an immense toll on not only his aura, but his body as well. Unfortunately, this can also affect allies...
Repulse - A Defensive ability that generates a light barrier around the target used to mitigate damage. Ourian can cast a barrier onto an ally within fifty feet of himself as well, however he would have to maintain that barrier and focus solely on the target, for if they leave the fifty foot radius, it becomes too taxing on his aura nd he will not be able to sustain it.
Reach - Ourian can extend and manifest his aura to retrieve objects, pull himself out of harms way, or even pull an ally closer to him to keep them from getting hurt. His Reach can only extend about twenty feet, however.
Item 1: Seeker: Rating 1 Weapon - A steel Blaster Blade that acts as a memento of his father. It was originally designed to discharge Dust using a Phial Cartridge, however this feature was never added due to unfortunate circumstances. (A picture will be included eventually.)
Item 2: Liberator: Rating 1 Magic Armor - A black carbon fiber gauntlet that acts as a memento of his mother. It was originally designed to be an entire armor set, however this was as far as his mother got with it due to unfortunate circumstances. (A picture will be included eventually.)
History and Sample
- History:
- As a young boy, Ourian had always wanted to follow in his parents' footsteps and become a Hunter. He would always follow his parents around in their shop, observing how they made their equipment. It always fascinated him to no end how weapons and armor could be altered and made to shoot bullets or resist Dust. His time spent in the shop has taught him a few things about how to make his own equipment.
When he turned sixteen, however, disaster struck in the form of a virus... one that nobody had ever seen before... Both of his parents had managed to catch this virus and it slowly killed them. Living on his own for two years afterward, Ourian had discovered a secret room in the basement. Inside were two items: Seeker and Liberator. Ourian could tell right away that these two items were his parents' pride and joy and decided to finish their work thanks to the blueprints that were also in the room.
Deciding to leave home, he searches for someone who could help him finish his parents' work... to see them in all their glory... With Seeker and Liberator on each hand, his search brings him to Syne Academy, where he can hopefully find a way to finish the gear his mother and father created, pursuing his dream of becoming a Hunter in the process...

- As the sun's rays illuminated the bright blue sky and the lush green forest below it, another airship was transporting soon to be hunters and huntresses to their new home: Syne Academy. Sitting in the back, listening to music, was a young man with silver hair. On the seat next to him was a single duffle bag and a three foot long gauntlet blade. The young man, named Ourian, would steal a glance at his weapon from time to time, a deep look of longing in his eyes...
"I wish you two were here to see this... I've finally made it..." Ourian sighed, glancing at his watch. It was 9:55 am... Only five more minutes until they finally arrived. Slinging the duffle bag over his shoulder and the gauntlet blade on his arm, which collapsed into its standby mode with a twist of the wrist, Ourian rose from his seat as the airship landed. Taking a deep breath, Ourian walks off the ship to see Syne Academy for the first time.
Well... Time to finish what you two started... Watch me, Mom and Dad! I'll finish Seeker and Liberator and become one of the best! He thought, smiling and excited to get started.
