Overall Personality: A mixture between a small child and a brooding teenager, YAMI is difficult to explain. While having remarkable skill with his weapons and other combat related activities, his social awareness is awkward at best. As a result of a slightly malfunctioning AI, all personal interaction skills were basically wiped, leaving YAMI with little knowledge of how to deal with social encounters. He can't stand androids being discriminated against, and will actually turn violent if somebody starts to say that they are not even actually alive.

Semblance: Vector Manipulation - basically the creation of force in a direction, this can be used many ways. For offense, uses it to launch objects at enemies, for defense uses it to prevent objects from hitting him at full power, and for utility is able to propel himself at high speeds. Max range that something can be affected is 10 metres, and the distance from him and weight of the object affect how much he can push it. Follows aura cost for Damage, defense, or utility, depending on how it is used.
Item 1: A pair of pistols, each pretty standard. Clip size is 12 shots, and they are both solid black. The only thing special about them is that when held by YAMI, they interface with sensors on his hands, allowing a targeting aid to come up on his visual sensors.
Item 2: Additional plating on key parts of his body (chest, forearms, shins) provide basic physical resistance.
History and Sample

- A small corporation, the name of which is now forgotten, had a grand dream. To remove the need for Hunters and Huntresses to risk their lives in the fight against the Grimm, they began construction of a line of robotic warriors, dubbed the 5L4Y series. And although they did their work without fail, they weren't exceptional in any way.
And so, they started research into mechanical aura generation, in a hope to improve their machine's combat efficiency. But it was slow work, as they didn't have much in the way of funding any more. By the time the prototype was completed, they were basically bled dry of any resources, and were hoping on a sponsor to help them complete the project.
To show off the improvement over their product, the creators set up a little test for the newly built android. They dropped it into a hotspot of Grimm, with Beowulf being the only known species in the area, due to the Beowulf being weaker than other species, notably Nevermore, Death Stalkers and King Taijutu, as they themself didn't know if it would be able to take one of those on.
Unfortanately, despite the 5L4Y-3R's combat performance, nobody was willing to commit, and the company was closed down, with the prototype being stuck in a storage warehouse for just over 2 years.
Then, for seemingly no reason, 5L4Y-3R was re-activated by one of the chief researchers who had built him. During those two years, the man had been studying the effects of artificial intelligence on androids, and had created one just for the prototype that he had created years ago. One he had named, YAMI.
To prove that the 5L4Y-3R was able to surpass the abilities of most Hunters, and hence get funding to complete the series, the man sent YAMI to Syne Academy. The only problem is, YAMI has no idea what he is doing.

- As the airship began it's descent into the school, YAMI went through the events of the past couple of months in his head, starting from when he had been activated with his current personality, to his creator asking him to attend the school he would be arriving at in a couple of moments. It had gone so fast, and YAMI still wasn't exactly sure what he was meant to be doing, beyond learning how to rid the world of Grimm.
A slight jolt from the airship touching the ground knocked him out of his head and back to the real world. Most of the other students were rushing to the front, tryingto get out as soon as possible, but YAMI stayed back, not wanting to accidently crush a bone or someting in the struggle and call attention to himself.
As soon as the horde of people were out, YAMI followed, checking his movements for any telltale signs of robotics. Satisfied with his disguise, he decided to check out the buildings, and build some kind of map in his memory files to make sure he knew where to go at all times.
