History and Sample
- History:
- Crystal Skye was born as the heiress of a large agricultural complex being one of the few companies that still produce the larger percentage of the worlds food. The Skye Food Industry was ruled by her father, Oliver Skye who married her mother Jennifer. The two of them happily lived among the worlds most elite urging their daughter to make a name for herself that would prove the family proud, even when she wasn’t old enough to talk. Higher expectations couldn’t have been raised for the young toddler who developed some early issues. At first the company started off measly farm set up by the Skye family which included a small market franchise. Each year passed and more farmers began to buy into their plan till they set up large farms that no one else could really compete against. First they sold the plant life that they could harvest till eventually they went into livestock and finally food processing.
Oliver and his wife both fell madly and bore a child, Crystal. They seemed to have been at least partially inebriated as there humor for the infant's name was a bit blunt. Crystal Clair Skye, a play off of the phrase, crystal clear when mention how wonderful the weather was. This humor wasn’t inherited though, because Crystal started off at a young age encounter fear after fear which caused her parents to make her a bit needy. As her phobias grew worse and incapable of avoiding they began sending her to a personal therapist who would attempt to sort out the psychological reasons. After numerous sessions they seemed to believe that her phobia for names, bacteria and sleep was merely her being rebellious. Crystal on the other hand truly couldn’t stand any of these and often spent every waking of the night cringing in fear of sleeping since she had her last nightmare.
Set up with the best and brightest tutors, Crystal quickly began her journey into knowledge but unfortunately not self-defense. As she continued to expand her horizon she decided that journeying out on her own was a good plan. On her travels to the distant sector of the city she began balancing upon the walls however the day had been expecting storms. Crystal’s ability to maintain her balancing act was also beginning to falter when she was blown over from the wall landing in an unfortunate position. Freaking out from the pain the only thing she could really recall was being unable to look around at anything on the left side. Luckily for her numerous people were about and knew her position in the Skye family and rushed her directly to a hospital.
The damage was irreversible as she had managed to get a concussion and not skewer her brain through her eye socket. In agonizing pain the nurses and doctors sedated her as they began to remove the ruptured eyeball that had been shishko bobbed by a nearby tree branch. After a month or two bed ridden in the hospital and tutored while still being nursed back to health. Despite losing her other eye, Crystal experienced little to no change in her daily life besides from rotating her head a bit more than usual.
- RP Sample:
- Syne academy, the genuinely well sought after educational facility for children with impeccable dreams. Crystal didn’t see these prospects like most people as her life was already capable of perspiring to any height that she may have wished to reach. Every height except for the matter of combat. Quite annoyed at her handicap and inability to fight she often swung her whip about aimlessly for the larger portion of her life but before appearing on the steps of this academy she had tried her best with little success. Occasionally with her partial blindness Skye still manages to leave welts and lashes upon her own body primarily her left side and leg. Today was no exception from this routine as she practiced.
Quickly twirling the whip about her head she lashed out violently against the tree cracking off a half foot section of bark before snapping back. As it traveled back toward her she lost sight of the end which not sliced about her leg. Wincing in pain she fell to one knee desperately holding back tears. Slowly she began to uncoil the whip from her leg the teeth leaving imprints across her lower leg. “Darn it!” she shouted finally untangling the last portion and laying against the ground. Reaching down she pulled down her pant legs which she had rolled up as always when training so she could cover her wounds.
