Today's forecast: Rain, a huge downpour coming down on every poor soul caught under the unforgiving weather, soaking anyone as if a waterfall had collapsed over them or if they would have simply jumped into a large body of water. Well at least Myra wasn't one of those running desperately trying to either get inside or at least find something to hide under. Sat down under the arch of the main doors leading to the interior of the academy with her back against the wall, the girl was staring vaguely outside, watching the droplets fall down and crash on the ground of the courtyard, forming puddles everywhere. The only thing that could be heard all over was the sound of the rain and the wind blowing across the wet leafage of the trees and other foliage around with the occasional shouts of students telling others to hurry up inside. Meanwhile, the alone girl was there, observing while the serene scene was unfolding before her eyes, well not only hers, as her snake tail was laying in her lap -or whatever the equivalent for a snake would be- and was also watching over the courtyard with its leering blue gaze.

This moment felt nostalgic, reminding Myra of her time back home in Menagerie when she was younger, hiding all over town from storms whenever they would suddenly show up. She would often get sick from playing so often in the rain but not once did she cared, unlike her parents. At least those times did built up a resistant to the common cold in her which never actually manifested over all those years. As the girl stood watch, the scenery would change for her, the tree morphing into more tropical ones, the walls surrounding her crumbling down to show wooden houses and a central plaza and all the students turning into the people of Menagerie, with a recognizable pink haired girl with horns running around happily while everyone else was looking for cover of the rain. Memories began to flood her mind like the rain was the scenery, those were fun days back home but lingering in the past would do her no good, especially with her literally at the door of her future. Great things would happen here at Syne for Myra, she just had to wait for them to happen.

Azul Haneulbich

Ears flattened against the skull, amber eyes crossed the now empty courtyard. People hiding and running from the rain. A soft huff came from Azul as he hugged his cloak closer. His feet splashed through the puddles that had already formed. Normally, he'd be in his camping spot, making sure his makeshift tent wasn't flooding at this point. But he had classes to attend. A grimace on his face as he once against had to consider taking dorms. But it risked sharing with others. And he didn't really like others.

He didn't really deserve others. Certainly not considering his past actions.

A heave of his chest, followed by a condensced exhale as he moved in. Sinking deeper and deeper in the blue hood. His massive ears twitching at the fuss and noise. His gaze towards the floor, seemingly scared to look anyone in the eyes. The assumption was partly true. But his head was hung in shame and sorrow. He looked up momentarily, laying eyes on the massive set of doors and moving towards. Initially seeming to miss an old friend that had been seated there. A hand moved up to push the door open, before his head tilted slightly to look around, only now noticing his fellow faunus. A moment of hesitation and the hand resting against the door slowly slid down, rain trickling down his cloak.

There seemed to be relief in his eyes, joy even. Before he seemingly caught himself experiencing those. It died down again. He ripped his eyes away from Myra and pushed the door open, hurrying inside. Petrified to face his old friend. He had betrayed his friends and family, then he had betrayed the white fang.

He couldn't fathom what she'd think of him.

While she just had told herself to stop looking at the past, there was something different now, a sudden change in the scenery that made this vision of the good old days much more real than it was up until now. A feeling of deja-vu, a familiar sight, the unexpected return from the past, could it really be..? The surrounding of Menagerie intensified before Myra, everything felt more real as she watched the vision of her young self playing in the rain joined by a friend of old, a boy she used to see everyday. His bright red hair all wet, scattered all over his face as the two ran after each other playing tag. The girl's blue eyes lit up at the joyous scene as the visions of the kids began heading in her direction, her miniature self reaching her first before she reached out to her friend, grabbing his cloak as he walked by.

All this, this flashback was much more that it seemed, memories flooding Myra's mind as the truth happened before her. She was there, but so was he, heading for the inside of the ancient building that contained the academy. His cloak in hand, the girl tugged lightly on it while her head looked up to him, a genuine smile on her face with a lone single tear rolling off her cheek as she softly called his name, asking if it was really him. Any reaction from him would surely make an answer in itself, but hearing his voice would make up for how long he disappeared from her life. Around 2 years ago, the two of them were to hang out as they usually did, but Azul never showed up and mysteriously vanished. No one knew where, or maybe refused to tell her, she was never really liked by his family due to her upbringing. She always wanted to know what happened to him, worried every passing day about his well-being, but any excuse he would give her would be fine as he was right there, in front of her, safe and sound, that's what mattered to her.

Her hand tugged on his coat. It stopped Azul dead in his tracks. A slow shiver crawling down his spine. He expected a smack in the face, an insult, anything. But those never came. His knuckles paled as hands gripped tightly on the handle of the door. Waiting for Myra to say anything. But nothing had been said for ten seconds, twenty seconds, almost a minute now. He was finally able to muster the courage to look her in the eyes. His ears drooped down. She was crying. Did she know what he had done? Was she aware of his plight during his years with the white fang. It weren't the eyes of someone judging or convicting him, no. But that didn't answer his question.

"I-.." His throat felt thick. He was at a loss for words. "I'm sorry," were the first words he managed to stammer. His hand moving over to wipe away the tear. But stopping halfway through, mere inches sky from her cheek. He reminded himself he didn't have the right to. A shiver went through his hand, before he lowered it again. A deep breath following. "It's-.." Again, the once speechcrafting and silver tongued Azul was at a loss for words. The same Azul that had regaled countless Faunus with strong tales and explained his artistic vibes with gusto. The same Azul that had no issue in speeching without any kind of preparation infront of a massive crowd. Was at a total loss of words. "I'm not who you remember me to be," the faunus whispered. His voice defeated, eyes dropping to the ground again.

Blinking in surprise at his apology and even more the moment he claimed to be different then he was years ago, Myra let go of Azul's cloak. She could feel that things were indeed different, something had happened to him and it clearly changed him. His tone sounded somber, melancholic, she didn't really like how it sounded like but, it was still his voice and it felt amazing to finally hear it after all this time. While the girl did let go of her friend's cloak, she wasn't ready to let go of him, not now of all time.

Jumping to her feet, Myra immediately wrapped her arms around Azul, hugging him tightly from behind. She remained silent for a moment before gently whispering that she missed him so much, saying that she was worried sick and wondered where he has been, but without sounding like she was questioning him on his whereabouts, she really just wanted him to know that she never stopped thinking about him. She was genuine, she did miss him a lot, the two of them were pretty close when he disappeared and Azul had always been there for her so it has been hard for her to suddenly lose her best friend. Rubbing her nose against his back, she whispered once more, simply asking to never leave her like that again, not without at least a word. Not letting go of the hug and tightening her embrace from time to time to make sure he wouldn't leave, Myra got silent and let the sound of the still falling rain echo among the two reunited friends.

Azul Haneulbich

Painted fingernails scratched into the wood of the door as he felt the tug on his cloak dissappear. And he averted his gaze again. Unable to bear looking her in the eyes any longer. His ears twitched at the movement and a flinch traveled through him as Myra suddenly grabbed him from behind in a soft hug. Another shiver down his spine, instincts crying out hysterically. If anything, he had been shying away from physical touches lately. They were unexpected and straight out frightening. He felt as if he couldn't breath, but he couldn't struggle against either.

It was then that the soft whisper reached him, his ears drooped down again. More at ease now. Though, as he had feared. He had abandoned her. And not only her, but everyone he knew and loved in Menagerie. A stupid child made delusional with dreams of grandeur. How foolish he was.

"I-.." He swallowed his words, thickly so. Closing his eyes as a soft huff came from him. "I can't make that promise, Myra," he stated. His head thumping against the wooden door. He chewed on the bottom of his lip, drawing a trickle of blood, a darker shade of crimson than the lipstick he had on. "I don't want to break another promise.."

Myra Chegernt

The silence broke, Azul's voice escaped his lips to tell Myra he wouldn't be able to hold a promise to her. While hearing this did make the girl lightly sad, she wasn't going to let things be like this, especially since her was right in front of her. Letting go of the hug, she stepped to the side before sliding right between her friend and the door he was trying to go through and she stared directly into his eyes, not allowing him to look away by placing her hands on his shoulders. Her gaze was strict but warm as she began to scold him, telling him that if he couldn't bare the weight of a promise that he shouldn't make one and that if he felt like running away once more, she'd follow him this time even if he wouldn't agree to it.

Myra's snake tail showed itself, crawling right next to the girl's head to multiply by two the number of blue eyes staring at Azul. She told him that if he would try to stop her from following and supporting him now that they were reunited, that he'd need to go through her this time, mentioning that she has gotten way stronger than when they were small children. She wouldn't lose to him, she wouldn't lose him. Her harsh face then slowly melted away, making place for a comforting smile as she looked into his ember eyes before wrapping her arms behind him for another hug. She was a stubborn girl, so maybe that's why he never told her when he first left, maybe he knew that if she knew, she would have followed him back then.  While holding him, Myra whispered softly that she wanted them to become huntsmen together, that they should train together and that she had so many things she wanted to share with him. She was truly happy to see him again, she just hope he was happy as she was.

Azul Haneulbich

As soft arms moved away, digits sliding down the fabric of his coat, he couldn't help but feel defeated. Myra had let go of him. It was what he wanted, it was what he deserved. A desolated individual, a tireless gaurdian that operated from the shadows. He had spent the past years looking for fame and recognition, now the name Kr0ne was nothing but a mark of shame and sorrow. Along with the crossed through white fang tattoo, it was what marked him a pariah. Those thoughts however, were pushed aside as soon as Myra also pushed herself between the door and Azul. Forcing him to look in those blue eyes of her. Along with that weird snake tail of hers. And he still tried to dodge the eye to eye contact. Feline eyes finding any location to slump down to that wasn't her eyes. Though the hands on his shoulders were assuring, warm in gesture. And mixed thoughts began to seep in.

"Don't," he protested finally. Calling a halt to all the thoughts that shouted out, the voices that discussed. Everything was silenced. A hand moved up to grasp at her wrist. "Don't once follow me," he warned, though where voice lacked threat, promise came through. After all, the first time he ventured out, he was abused, defeated and had to run. Misery had ensued the instant he struck out on his own. "It didn't end well the first time," what reasons did he have to believe it would end properly the second time?

Arms moved around his waist and he was pulled in a hug again, a soft huff escaped his nostrils as he rested his chin on Myra's head and closed his eyes briefly. Maybe, maybe there was a light of hope. Maybe he was allowed to at least have her. Train together, grow stronger.

It was indeed way more appealing than what he had now. "Alright," he murmured under his breath. "Let's.. Do just that, it'll be easier with the two of us, after all."

Myra Chegernt

Myra didn't move an inch, not even flinching when suddenly feeling Azul's chin resting on top of her head or even hearing his voice, saying that following him would have been a bad idea, that things didn't go well. His words only got the girl more frustrated, which could be easily noticed in her own voice as she replied that of course things didn't go well, she wasn't there to support him. While it would appear as the thoughtless words of a child saying things like "you never know, I could have help" or anything alike, Myra absolutely meant it. What good were friends if they weren't there to share your burden? Or even simply there to make you feel better even by listening? She whispered, half to herself and half to Azul, that whatever would happen in the future that she'd be around for him, even if he would be against.

Myra smiled softly when he at least agreed for the two to train together. Poking his sides like she used to when they were children, the girl stated how obvious his statement was. Of course it'd be easier with the two of them, everything is easier when you got friends to back you up. Plus, it made things more fun in general, both being with others that you trust and herself in general. Myra giggled lightly at her self-compliment before looking back at Azul with a smile, saying nothing right away, letting a short silence linger before hugging him once more, saying again how much she missed him over the years and how happy she was that the two of them were now going to study at the same academy.

"I was stupid," he only responded. "They blinded me. And I fell right in." He smirked faintly. "I was happy at first. Then they started asking more and more." His eyes closed as the thoughts seeped in. As a shiver crawled down his spine, the flinching more than obvious to Myra in the embrace. "I'm sorry," he murmured again, ears flattening against his skull in distress. The scolding was correct. He couldn't really say anything else.

"I missed you too, y'know." He sighed slowly. "As much as I tried to tell myself otherwise." He released Myra again and stepped back slightly, both due to his sides being poked and make conversation easier. Though it seemed a silence now hung in the air. He wanted to say something again, but was rather pulled in a hug, flinching slightly again.

"Do.. You have a dorm room?" He asked, before looking down at her slightly. "Since. Y'know.. I don't," he admitted, rubbing the back of his head, letting out an awkward chuckle/

Myra smiled softly to Azul, he looked genuinely sorry yet she wasn't so dense as to not understand that he had his reasons to keep her away. They both cared a lot for each others, so of course he wanted to keep her from harm's way even though it meant leaving her behind on his little adventure. But now he was back after all this time, and hearing her friend say that he missed her too made the girl smile even more.

She couldn't help but giggle as Azul asked if she had a dorm, obviously asking if he could join her. Of course Myra wouldn't mind, she was even happy that she would be able to share her room with him. Smiling and nodding her head, she said he was welcomed to join as soon as he would want to. Although this made her wonder if it was fine with the academy for the two of them to share a dorm together, but she figured that most students wouldn't realize Azul's gender and just think that it's a girls-only dorm. She didn't even think about what he meant by not having a dorm himself, she was too busy thinking about them sharing one that she totally forgot to ask where her was sleeping at the moment.

Poking his sides lightly again, Myra turned around to open the doors, telling Azul she'd show him where her room was so he could just go there once he would have packed all his stuff. She of course didn't know that he had to go to class, so she was beginning to drag him around, holding his arm so he wouldn't fall behind.

Azul Haneulbich

Azul Haneulbich
To say he was genuinely sorry, was an understatement. Though she'd come to understand the gravity of this the ensuing nights. "Yeah, I just need to get some things from my camp," and break up the rest. Prefferably torch it or throw it in a river, since he knew people were watching. The white fang was still looking for him, or so he thought. A general distrust for other faunus. A complete distrust to humans. It wasn't easy to pick up the pieces. But he wroughtt this upon himself. He just had to make do now.

He brushed her hand off again, surpressing the giggle that would otherwise follow from her poking, just like he did when he was little, before his arm was grabbed and he was pulled through the school. About to protest he still had a class in session. But he refrained from doing so. If anything, he relaxed in the grip. And just let Myra take him away to her dorm. As soon as they were inside, Azul moved towards the window, pushing it open and looking out. He nodded to himself with a soft hum, before glancing back at Myra. "You're sure you want me here?" He asked frowning slightly. "You don't need to feel obliged to."

Myra Chegernt

Myra Chegernt
Myra was really happy that she was able to drag Azul all the way to her dorm, soon to be theirs, "happy" wasn't even beginning to describe how she was feeling. Not only was she able to see her childhood friend that had mysteriously vanished years ago, but she was also able to spend time with him again. There was so much things she wanted to tell him, so much that she wasn't even sure to know by what to begin with.

Closing the door behind them as they entered the room, she watched Azul opening the window, the view giving on the east side of the forest surrounding the school, a sea of blue leaves as far as the eye could see. It was a great view that Myra loved, she often left the blinds open during the night so that the sunlight would fill her room in the morning, the blinding light reflecting over the walls making it hard to go back to sleep. The current rain was kind of ruining everything right now though.

Azul then turned around, asking if it was really fine for him to be there which got him an immediate glare from Myra as well as her snake. Walking towards him with her eyes locked with his and a pouting face with an annoyed frown before she began to poke him over and over, saying that of course she wanted him to and there was no way she change her mind, precising that it was too late for him to back out either and that he was now stuck with sharing the room they were in. She even decided to playfully push him on her bed, saying that from now on he'd sleep there and nowhere else. While there was currently only one bed in the room, Myra mentioned that she would request that another one would be delivered to them, teasing him by saying that it was fine if he'd rather share that one bed with her. Teasing him like that made her lose her strict look in favor of a smile and a giggle as she remembered those times when they were younger and both sneaked outside at night to camp in Myra's backyard with a tent. They were really inseparable, at least when Azul wasn't locked at home doing rich people stuff that is.

Azul Haneulbich

He glanced down from the window, leaning out, his large purple braid dropping out from underneath the hood and swaying ever so slightly in the wind. Second floor, he glanced around a bit to notice that there were several relatively easy routes up into the room. He checked the window itself. Able to be opened from the outside, he'd need to get a padlock for it. He seemed to be lost in thought for a moment, before turning around and asking the ill-fated question. One that got him an immediate glare, two of them even. Two sets of eyes staring his poor soul down as she approached. And he didn't really find it in himself to move, just cock his head sidewards as she approached, curiously so. One hand moving up to tuck the braid back in his hood, ears twitching at each step Myra took in her approach.

The series of pokes and jabs made him snort, giggle and attempt to deflect, not nescessarily in that order and not nescessarily were this actions made seperately. Though he didn't expect the shove, both due to being preoccupied with trying to deflect Myra's attack as well as just not expecting it at all. He grabbed Myra's arm on his way down, hoping to keep his balance, but most likely just pulling her down with. His back smacking on the matress. Her teasing got a reaction she probably hadn't expected. The mighty, well versed in speech craft and legendary silver tongued Azul was blushing of all things. "A bed isn't.. Nescessary," he assured, before taking a deep breath. "I've been sleeping on the floor most of the time since I left Menagerie." He glanced to the side, avoiding Myra's gaze, as well as trying to ignore the red that crawled on his cheeks. "I'm not really keen on being registered in a dorm.. Though you can always request extra blankets," he murmured, scratching his cheek awkwardly. Before looking back to her, letting out an awkward giggle. "I'm sorry- I don't think I'd be able to sleep in a bed with anyone else either." It wasn't that he didn't trust Myra, completely opposite even. It was just that he didn't feel comfortable in too much comfort. Sleeping on the ground made for a very light sleeper. That and they had both considerably grown in multiple facets. He had grown to a pretty guy, she had grown to a beautiful woman.

And that made him easier aware when someone was messing with their door, or messing with the window. The last thing he wanted was for Myra to suffer any consequences he would eventually face.

Myra Chegernt

Myra clearly wasn't expecting to be dragged by Azul as he fell on the bed, causing the girl to scream lightly as she fell with him before giggling wildly as she was sitting on top of him, her hands resting on his torso. She booped his blushing cheek, not thinking much about it, as he began to say things like not needing a bed and that the floor would be enough. The girl let out a sigh as she kept poking his face, saying that it's not because you're used to something that it means you should stick to it. But when Azul kept insisting that he didn't want to be registered in the dorm with her and that only blankets would do Myra let out another sigh, heavy in defeat.

She moved away from him, sitting by the edge of the bed and looking at the floor with a sad smile on her face. She had a feeling as to why he didn't want a bed or be registered in the dorm with her, but she wouldn't ask as this wasn't why she was really sad. When Azul said he wouldn't be able to share the bed, even if for one night made her realize that they both had changed in more ways than they knew. It was stupid to suggest him that and she apologized. Myra remained silent afterward, feeling bad about her attitude, her gaze locked towards the floor.

Azul Haneulbich

Azul Haneulbich
"Well, it's the ground, or it's getting a bed in here for no reason and me sleeping on the floor an hour after going to bed," he disputed, scratching his cheek awkwardly. Though it seemed Myra was quick to accept his other reasoning. His unwillingness to be recorded in a dorm. Without questioning it, which led to at least some relief. Not just to explain Myra the horrid things he had done, but also for himself. That he didn't need to get caught up with everything again. He'd rather let it all rest and forget about it for the day.

He sat up slowly, crawling next to Myra and sitting down, putting an arm around her shoulder and just sighing. Pulling her a tad closer. Resting his head on her shoulder. "I'm sorry," he murmured again, squeezing her shoulder softly. "I'll make it up to you," he glanced at the window. "Somehow," he promised. Not only Myra, but himself. The reflection he saw in the window, before focussing on the rain that was still pouring down. His eyes suddenly became incredibly big. "Oh crap. My stuff." He jumped up, looking at Myra, before back at the rain that was still pouring down. "I forgot to close my damn tent!" He moved over to the window and opened it up, before leaping out and crawling down. In a way that would make anyone watching think he'd be a monkey faunus, rather than a fox.

And rushing into the forest he did, trusting Myra would follow him. Even if she didn't, he had to get his things back.
