Remy Marcís (Revamp completed)

When a young girl is born on a ship midway through the ocean blue, the legend foretells that she is fated to one day join the sirens in the deep, luring chosen sailors to their death or possibly to a world of paradise. As I said, it's all legend though, so no need to be worried, Remy is not a Siren, she would however grow up with a natural fondness for the open blue much as her father would have, this primarily being because she wasn't only born on a ship, she grew up on it. She learned on the ship owned by their nomadic little group which traveled in a small fleet from continent to continent, always moving, always trading and never staying battened down for too long. Since there was an entire tribe living on these ships, Remy was afforded a natural education just like all the rest, and even a bit of introduction onto combating the creatures of Grimm as well as specialized training into the sailing as she was the prospective helmswoman for one of the ships.

Her education went well, and she did in fact gain enough experience to eventually become the head of the helm of the flagship when the Captain was away, and the quartermaster when he was not. Of course, her position was quite important  to the functionality of the ships of the fleet. She ran the supply of the ship to her best ability and took care of things however she could, but the captain fell ill in the stormy season of the great seas.

She was sailing for Vale from Atlas when the typhoon came, striking up rogue waves and water spouts at every turn moment Remy had looked to the horizons. This was not the first storm she had endured, but it was most definitely the worst. The flagship was the most important to keep safe as it guided all of the rest to their destinations, and Remy was a skilled sailor. Luck would not favor the other ships of the fleet however, as a water spout found and tore one asunder, obviously the storm had stirred up a grand deal of fear in the people aboard the ships, and there were several Sea Dragons that followed that fear to the ships, and the wooden frames stood no chance against the searing beams of electricity. One of Remy's most vivid memories is of the cinders that those ships became. She steered the flagship through the storm finding the port of Bellmuse just as dawn arose, only to find that they were the last ship remaining.

The captain was optimistic after his recovery, saddened by the losses, but determined to continue their existence. Remy on the other hand found that memory to be far to engrained in her memory to simply move on from. With a great deal of hesitance, she bid the flagship a farewell, swearing an oath of vengeance on the creatures of Grimm for what she would refer to as "The Eve of Flames" and decided to stay in Bellmuse, training at the academy and honing her fighting skills further, so that one day she can reform the fleet in good conscience as a captain worth following.

"So now let me tell ya!" Remy shouted shortly before shotgunning down a massive gulp of rum directly from the bottle and slamming it back down on the bar. "Life on the sea is probably the best life that anyone could ever ask for! 'Ave you ever seen the pure sunrise without the light of a city burning cross the sky to obscure it? Gorgeous beauty!" She twirls her pigtail around her finger as she winks at some girl across the bar. "Not like you though sweetheart!"

Taking another blast from the glass, she refocuses her conversation on the fella from earlier. "Anyway, there's an experience to be had out on the open sea that no one could understand until they lived it. Oooh, the wind in yer hair, the spray o' the salty ocean, and on a lucky night, someones hand on yer- Actually nevermind, can't talk bout that 'ere." Remy giggles as she drinks the last of the rum in the bottle and her head collapses on the bar as she settles down for sweet dreams.
