Return from abroad! (Open)

Niraya returns to town. The boat docks and a drone takes off from the ship and follows a Faunus girl as she disembarks. She waves to her father that was on the ship. "Take care father and dont work yourself into the ground again!" Her father waves back as the boat backs out of the dock and heads back to the Offshore robotics testing facility. She sighs and heads into town. Not much has changed in the town since she left. She stops by her favorite coffee shop to get some Tea before heading to the local park.

Once at the Park Niraya calls down the drone and it stops infront of her. "Go fill up with water its time to do your first field test." The drone beeps and heads off making sure to avoid hitting anything. After about five minutes the drone returns full of water. Niraya smiles and pulls out some flash paper. She put it in a trashcan and it catches fire. "Do a lap around the park following the walking path then come to put out this fire." The drone beeps and takes off as quickly as it could following the path around the park. doing its best to avoid hitting people and object while it was fully loaded. Niraya stands there keeping an eye on the fire to ensure it doesn't get out of hand, and to time the drone.

Lothric was out walking around the town buying a few items to keep his weapon and armor in fighting shape, different kinds of oil for the metal, a new sewing kit for the cloth and some stones for the blade it self. He had not been out and about like this for a good while and found it quite enjoyable to just walk around and head into the shops, not that he was a shut in it was just that he enjoyed training more then just hanging around different places in town.

Thinking that he should perhaps rest a bit at the park before heading back to the dorms and start the whole ordeal with doing maintenance and repair of his items, it was not long after he reached the park the he noticed a drone or bot or whatever it was moving around, before he could even register it fully he saw something burning and it caught his attention completely.

Moving over towards the fire he stopped a few meters away from it and let out a small sigh as he looked around before he sat down a few of the bags he had with him filled with the things he had bought and held his free hand out towards the flame as he focused on them and they started to die as he let out a heavy sigh before speaking in a calm tone "I wonder who is so careless to set a trashcan on fire, the smell might not be the most apeasing one but this is going a bit to far."

Niraya notices the fire die down before the drone even got half way around the park. "Darn it!" She then notices Lothric. "Hey did you put out the fire? I was testing a drone!" As she says this the drone flys past Lothric and begins looking for the fire. It was clearly confused. "Ugh...Stop program." The drone beeps and lands on the ground. She then looks at Lothric. "Thanks for messing up the test. A garbage fire is a common prank pulled by kids if the drone could handle that without issue with a decent response time then that would keep the firemen from sending men to it. which on rare occasions is a distraction to a bigger fire."

She rubs her temples. "Ugh. Hi my name is Niraya Head of R&D at Zerul Robotics." She was trying to not show how annoyed she was about the test being a failure due to someone's interference.

Lothric turned around when he heard that some one was talking to him, lifting one of his eyebrows he simply waited for it to stop but it seemed that he had intruded upon a test for a firefighting drone or whatever it was. Lothric had a simple question in mind when the person introduced herself, he simply bowed his head at the introduction and spoke with his calm tone "I doth apologies about that but why test such a thing out here and on a public item?" watching her he raised his head once more before grabbing a small lighter from his pocket and ignited the small flame it's sparks produced.

As the small flame grew and split into three smaller orbs which started to float around his being, Lothric once more spoke with the same tone of voice as before "Ah pardon me, I am Ser Lothric Ember. Despite recent events I must say it is a pleasure to meet you miss Niraya."

He then placed the lighter back into one of his pockets and lifted the bags he had placed onto the ground before re-focusing his gaze towards Niraya as he was quite interested in what she was going to say and more importantly react.

Niraya gave a curtious bow when Lothric bowed. "Nice to meet you Lothric. As for my reason. Testing in a factory under controlled conditions can only tell us so much. out in public where anything can happen is more intresting to test results. The fire in the trashcan could be a fire fighter trap where a container of Magnesium lies in wait at the bottom of the can so when they use water to put it out the can explodes, Or did you forget about the trash can bomber?" She chuckles a bit. "The various possiblies that can happen out of the lab is very intresting to me. not to mention the benefits of what a drone can do to the emergency services. Imagine a drone sent ahead of an ambulance so that those who are nearby can assist the injured. The drone would be carrying a standard military medical kit so the injured can be stabilized sooner. Imagine a criminal orginization robbing a bank and threaten to shoot civilains if police show up. The drone would be able to follow the criminials without them ever knowing. and if need be can be equipped with various equipment that swat uses. Unfortunally leathal force is kind of a problem so the arsinal is limited to tear gas, rubber bullets, and tasers."

She turns the drone back on curious how it would handle a flame wielder. "Care to give the drone a run for its money? Its loaded with water." After the boot-up sequence it takes off of the ground and examines its environment. It spots the flames around Lothric and takes aim.

It was a beautiful day outside, and The young Severa Scarlet was walking around just enjoying the day. Now while she had been at Syne for around a month now she had never really taken any time out to explore the area. She had to admit that the place was quite nice and well built, and coming from a Former Noble from Atlas that was saying something.

Today her main focus was exploring around the park, as it was one of the many places she had yet to see. She was wearing average attire today a blue dress, some fancy shoes, and for once she had her hair out of its pigtailed form and free flowing the bangs kept out of her eyes with a small feather shaped pin, while the rest reached down to her lower back in a free flowing manner.

When she arrived she saw two persons who seemed to be interacting one was a faunas while the other seemed to be human. The human had stark white hair and a very familiar presence about him. While the faunas was a complete stranger. After another quick look over she saw a drone hovering near the faunas woman. While Three small balls of fire rotated around the human. Seeing the fire manipulation instantly gave Severa a reminder of who it was, Lothric a man she had dueled rather recently.

As she approached she was able to hear what was going on, apparently they were testing out a fire fighting drone. This was something she could potentially be interested in. As she walked up she spoke out in her normal tone "Pardon me, but do you mind if I watch?"

Lothric chuckled slightly at the extensive explanation and while it did make him slightly regret the meaning behind his own words, still this was no time for such thoughts and he returned his attention towards Niraya until she was done speaking and he couldn't help but laugh, well that was until he saw the drone take aim at him, as he was about to say something he heard a familiar voice and as he turned his gaze towards it he simply gave her a big smile before speaking in his calm tone "Good day Severa, I would not be bothered about it." Lothric took a few steps to the side and placed his bags down so that he would not destroy them unintentionally, walking back to his previous spot he turned his attention towards the drone before speaking again "So what am I allowed to do against it?".

As he finished speaking the orbs of flame grew larger and larger before the flames engulfed his arms from the tip of his fingers to his shoulders and seemed to flow behind him as well, he enjoyed using them this way as it didn't really bother his breathing too much, a valuable lesson he had learned once more when fighting Severa.

The fire roared as it kept flowing, Lothric kept his gaze at the drone as he readied himself on whatever the thing might try. Not that he was worried but being drenched was not on his to do list today and he would like to avoid that fact.

Niraya hears a voice and turns to see Severa. "Not at all." She turns her attention back Lothric. "All you need to do keep your fire going longer than the drone has water." She notices the bags of stuff and goes to moves them even further out of the way. She puts them next to Severa and stands there with her. "You can try to disable the drone, but do try not the destroy it completely." She holds up her wrist pad and readies a command. "Just say when your ready." She waits for him to way he was ready before sending the drone the command to extinguish his flames.

Aa Severa stood there she was happy to hear that they would let her watch the event. As the woman moved the bags next to her Severa listened intently as She would be describing what the event would entail. Apparently Lothric had to make his flames outlast the Drone's water. To be honest She would assume Lothric would outlast but at the same time she had no clue of the drones capabilities, so with a peaked interest she watched. Wondering how the event would play out. She decided to take a closer look at the woman she was a faunas, her hair was also a beautiful shade of orange, she seemed to be familiar with the area so she assumed she is or was a student, and probably a tech major judging from the drone. All in all she felt that this woman was interesting. Severa unfurled her overly large wings in a relaxing manner before speaking-"Hello Lothric, and nice to meet you..???" Severa Said Inquiring about her name.

Lothric let out a deep sigh as he readied himself, he then gave a simple nod as he said in a calm tone "I am ready. I hope you are as well." the moment after he had finished speaking Lothric let his flames loose and they dashed towards the drone before surrounding it as he continued to weave more and more flame going in a continuous stream while trying to encase the drone in a massive ball of fire.

"I wonder how resistant it really is, but I will halt my flames when you say so." he continued to speak in his calm tone as he was still weaving more flame towards the drone, he really wanted to know just what capabilities the little thing would have and how much water it could store and the pressure it could build up.

Still in a worst case scenario Lothric had a small trick up his sleeve and he hoped that the water tank was not heat reinforced to such a degree to where he couldn't heat the water up enough so that it would just turn into steam.

Returning his focus towards the drone he smiled slightly as the roaring of the flames could be heard for quite some distance and the heat was not small but the sight of it would be the biggest shock for any viewers not used to it he thought and that thought caused him some small amount of joy.

Niraya stands back. "Drone Extinguish his fire!" The drone beeps just as the fires start to hit him. Without hesitation the drone seem to grow. It swiftly moves around and being shooting shoot water at Ember. The water wasn't under high preasure at the start but when the drone realized the flames were pushing the water way it ramps up the pressure and keeps shooting.

Niraya giggles seeing her drone work. "The shell if made of a special foam that expands when exposed to heat to make it protected against the heat. Then there is the tank. Its not very big. but its comparable to a fire extinguisher that is mounted on the walls. It stores alot of liquid at high preasure. IT had an adjustable regulator that allows it to fire at high pressures." *notices the fire* "He must be a real hot head at times with flames this strong...im kinda curious if the drone would survive this."

As she watched Lothric whip up his familiar flames toward the drone. She had watch in wonder as the drone's size seemingly expanded and began shooting water at first the flames made a show of complete dominance before witnessing the drone Start shooting higher pressure water, and actually putting up a decent fight, against the roaring flames of Lothric.

Severa then had to shield her eyes as the Lothric began to whip up more flames at a fast rate seemingly creating a sphere of flames and trying to encase the little guy in it. The fox woman then explained a bit of how the drone worked and functioned. Severa slightly marvelled at the smalk machine being able to putt up such a fight before speaking out- "Did you build this yourself?" She then watched Lothric's roaring Flames take action,and Severa wondered to herself if Lothric was holding back during their spar.

Lothric chuckled as the drone had grown in size and was fighting his flames quite well for it's size but he had no intention of allowing it any chance of victory and with that he increased the intensity of his flames quite a bit until they turned a slightly blue hue.

Focusing more on not setting the entire area ablaze was starting to bother him quite a lot, still he wasn't one that enjoyed losing, still he was completely ready to kill the flames the moment he had to if it came to that. The flames roared towards the drone as they attempted to slam into it from every side as Lothric continued to weave more flames with the same intensity at the drone, he was starting to have problems breathing properly due to the heat of the flames and he could feel the heat starting to take a toll on his body but he would not relent.

Keeping his composure Lothric kept bombarding the drone with the fire which held a blue hue as he spoke with the calm tone of his "Persistant little fellow aren't we?" he was completely focused upon dealing with the drone and making sure that he didn't burn everything around himself so his attention towards Severa and Niraya was almost lost but he was certain he had heard something but shrugged at the thought and filed it as his imagination.

Niraya watched the fight intently, but a bit fearful of ending up in a fight with Lothric. She hears Severa ask if she built it. "Yes i did. Well...the design at least. It was assembled using the automated machinery at the offshore laboratory. The alterations I had to hand make as its still a prototype." Suddenly the flames started to burn blue. "Uh oh...if the flames are that color that means he is burning CH thats bad for everything around if not contained." She could no nothing but watch as the drone explodes from exposure from that high heat. The water that was inside its storage tank fills the area with a steam cloud. "OK YOU WIN!" Her tail was wrapped around her body and ears lays flat on her head. Once the steam cloud lifts away they could see the drone laying on the ground. at first glance it looks like a ball of foam.

Severa gave an impressed look toward the lady before suddenly feeling the intensity of the heat increase by a large amount the flames turning slightly blue as they assaulted. She heard Niraya say something with concern in her voice.

Severa's eyes quickly moved toward the drone, now being assaulted on all sides by Lothric's intense, now blue flames. As the heat continued to Rage the drone seemingly exlpoded after a bit making a large steam cloud appear in the area. When it cleared Severa looked on to see a small ball of seemingly foam lying in its place.

It looked so sad, and Severa wanted to approach it, but opted to stay back not knowing if it was dangerous or not. "Aww, Poor thing" was all Severa could say as the the ball of foam lie there.

The sudden explosion caught Lothric off guard and by instinct he recalled the flames to his being but he suddenly realized the folly of that as he had never properly done that with them being this blue hue and he would pay for this mistake. Looking slightly panicked Lothric knew if he lost control this could end badly, well he had gone way beyond the original agreement of at most disabling the drone and this hurt him as he didn't really want to deal with the fallout but now he had to focus upon the flames and it was a burning pain.

The flames had now covered his entire torso and neck as he kept them contained and started to extinguish them, a few moments latter he had done it and the flames where gone but not without injury. Falling to his knees from the amount of aura he had used with this Lothric breathed heavily as he had to hold his breath for the last bit so to not burn his lungs from the heat.

His jacket and shirt had burned up rather quickly when he had been dealing with the flames as well as some new burn marks on his lower back had appeared. Lothric slowly looked over himself before letting out a heavy sigh, not able to muster the strength to stand just yet he simply closed his eyes and thought about the scars and burns his body had.

The first burn he had ever received, when he had unleashed his flames for the first time. The family cabin had been burned down and he had not survived without injury as he felt the burn going upwards the left side of his torso and stopping just under his neck, there where others of course but he still felt this one as the day he was marked by his own flames.

Gathering his strength Lothric slowly stood up and looked at the foam ball and seemed slightly saddened by it yet he was furious with himself for allowing it to go this far. Walking over towards Niraya he couldn't help but feel ashamed of himself, stopping a few meters away from her Lothric bowed his head deeply before speaking with his calm tone yet there was a hint of sadness to his words "A thousand apologies for the loss of your drone. I ask forgiveness for allowing my flames to grow to such ferocity and breaking the rules of this situation." he had burned people to death as well as places and most certainly machines but Lothric had never gone beyond the rules he had set at each situation and it pained him that he had lost control over this simple mindset.

Niraya stayed where she was as the steam was still scolding the area. Once it dissipated that is when Ember walked over to them and apologized. She was taken aback and felt a little bad. Her ears layed flat and her tail wasn't swaying to show it. "No no. Its was a good test. I didn't expect it to explode but that's why tests are needed." She could see the fresh burns on him and walks over to him. "Here let me ease your pain" She puts his hands on his burn and begins using her aura to sooth the burn and help it heal. "Sometime we must break our limits to find the border between in control and not in control." As she does this she notices the other scars but doesn't bring it up. "I'm sorry about your clothes. I can order you a replacement set if you want me too." She examines the burn and sees it was mostly healed but a scar had formed already. She sighs unable to do anything about that. She then walks over to her drone and carefully move it to examine it. The drone was partly melted. "Yesh...the flames must have been close to 2500°"

As Niraya walked over to Lothric and began to heal him Severa, decided to look at the drone noticing how it seemed to be partially melted. She crossed her arms and thought to herself at how hot the flames must have been. Just how much did the man hold back in the spar.

She then looked back over to the duo to see his previous burns now healed, proving her suspicions of her being a huntress, or at least having proficiency with her aura. More so than Severa herself had. Plus with the tech knowledge she obviously had Severa was genuinely impressed.

When she mentioned the minimum heat of Lothric's flames Severa's eyes widened a bit, wondering the limits of Lothric's pyrokinetic abilities.

OOC-Really sorry for not posting sooner, but work has slowed down so I'll be able to post much more frequently.

Lothric gave Niraya a smile when she accepted his apology, tho he did start to blush when she approached him and started to heal his newly acquired burn, he was not used to being show such affection when it came to his wounds but he didn't think of it as a bad thing and actually liked it.

He shook his head a few times when she stated that she could get him a replacement of clothes but Lothric would take care of it himself and he spoke with his usual tone "Doth nay worry thee self about that, I will acquire it my self."

Lothric chuckled lightly and scratched the back of his head when she mentioned the heat his flames must have had and Lothric knew that was not the highest he could go but there was no way he was going that far if he could help it and he knew the payment he would be forced to deliver should he ever try it.

Turning his gaze towards Severa he bowed his head slightly before speaking in his normal tone but with a slight concern hidden in it "I hope you are unharmed Miss Scarlett."

Niraya nods at Lothric. "ok. thanks for helping out in this rather extreme example." She was unsure how to compensate him for his work. her tail and ears go limp as she was lost in thought making it seem like something was bothering her. She sighs and walks over to her drone and uses her symblance to try and cool down the drone with ice. "Good thing i build its AI core to withstand total mechanical failure." The drone was giving off alot of steam at first and the metal was making a rather scary screaming noise.

Once the steam cooled down the screaming noise fades away. With that out of the way the drone was now cool enough to handle. She pulls out a tool and beings to pulls apart something on the drone before removing the AI core. it was quite small compared to the big ball of foam that was the drone. She examines the core checking for damages. "Well this passed a rather extreme test." She looks over at Scarlet who was just staring at her and she blushes a bit. "Um...something on your mind?"

Severa Immediately replied to Lothric's worry "I'm fine Lothric, thank you for asking though" she then watched Niraya walk over to the destroyed being and begin cooling it off with what she assumed to be her semblance. Severa watched with an intrested eye as the drone made loud noises, before stopping, allowing Niraya to pull peices away from it. Severa had always been combat oriented in her training and even her lifestyle, never actually seeing much technology despite basically living in atlas for most of her life. So when Severa saw something like this it intrested her greatly.

She then snapped her gaze to Niraya aa she spoke to her, and soon blushed embarrassed manner. "Oh, was I staring?" "S-sorry was just impressed is all" Severa then stretched, letting her large white wings span out covering a wide area. "I don't really see much of this kinda thing, so when I do, I tend to get really intrested"

"Doth nay worry about that Miss Niraya." Lothric bowed his head towards Niraya as he spoke with his calm tone before returning his gaze towards Severa and gave her a smile as he said "That is good to hear Miss Scarlet."

Watching the two of them he chuckled lightly as Severa was caught starring and how she reacted upon noticing it her self, Lothric had to agree that he didn't deal with this sort of thing usually and as such he was quite interested in the small drones capability and would have loved a demonstration hadn't he just blown it up in their little test, still he was quite happy that none other had been hurt by the flames and that he had escaped with only a few burns this time.

The pain was still there but he ignored it for the time being as he waited for the two to be done talking and grabbed the bags with his bought items and made sure he hadn't lost any of the items inside due to the fire in which case he would most likely kick his own head in for it.

Niraya chuckles. "Well if you want to learn more then feel free to ask. I would gladly teach you more about this." She goes to her wrist computer and calls in another drone. "So...what to do now?" She thinks to herself. her plan to test out the drone ended with a critical failure, but failure is a good thing. She sighs, and just stands there in thought her tail swishing back and forth. If Severa looked carefully she would notice something strange about the tail. Niraya then turns to Lothic who was checking on his food, then back to Severa. "Not much i can do now until i rebuild the fire fighting drone. But Meh. Thats progress. I am curious to see what happened in the last moments. That much steam exploding everywhere cant be a good thing." She shakes her head then notices she was talking to herself. "Sorry about that. I tend to do that as I'm usually the one that has to figure out what went wrong." She smiles a bit to hide her embarssment.

Severa gave Niraya a quick smile "I'm fine thank you for offering though, maybe another time."

Severa quickly looked over to Lothric to see him checking his food making sure nothing was burned. Severa walked over to a nearby bench and sat down on it folding her overly large wings to make it more comfortable, and easy to sit on. Severa then  looked back over to Niraya to see her swishing her tail back and forth, something was a bit off with the body part, but Severa decided not to dwell in the subject, as it would be quite rude to be caught staring at someone's rear end.

Niraya then began talking to no one in particular about the experiment before, quickly apologizing for doing so once she caught herself. "You're fine, everyone does it when they're into something" Severa often talked to herself anyways especially when she was sparring with someone or interested in something.

Having finished his checking on the items within the bags Lothric let out a mixture of a sigh and a light grunt as it seemed some of them had been damaged by the heat and the bags had light damage as well, still he was glad that the important items were intact and undamaged.

"Alas some items are damaged and unusable, ah well such is the folly of going beyond my abilities." Lothric spoke in a slightly annoyed tone as he grabbed the bags and turned to face the two and looked over towards Niraya as she apologized for talking to herself, she had a valid reason for it so Lothric saw no harm in it.

Taking a glance at the sky he was debating that standing outside with nothing covering his torso would quickly become a bother and if he should leave the two to their own devices. After a few moments Lothric spoke with the same calm tone as earlier "Well I shall have to take my leave for now, perhaps we will meet each other at a later date. Good bye Niraya and Severa."

A few moments after he was done speaking Lothric turned around and walked away from the two and headed in the direction of a clothing store so that he could at least get something to cover up his torso as the last thing he needed now was to get sick.
