Total Character Revamp (Cynthia Testarossa Schwarzchild)

Nyx’s history is mostly unknown and is a total mystery to everyone including herself despite of the fact that she has a photographic memory. There are no records of her or her existence anywhere in the world. To be exact, Nyx herself doubts that her name is her real name. However, Nyx does possess extremely clear memories about her past. She clearly remembers being kidnapped and bought to an unknown facility operated by Atlach-Nacha. According to Nyx, Atlach-Nacha was a shadowy organization who specializes in espionage and assassinations. In addition to this, Atlach-Nacha had agents and assassins within every government on the planet.

Nyx’s memories about her time at the facility are extremely clear. She vividly remembers all aspects of her time there like the intense combat training, psychological conditioning, espionage training, stealth training, and the like. Nyx vividly remembers all the fight to the death scenarios she had to go through against her fellow kids as part of her training program. At the end of her time there, only herself and another girl survived the training program. Soon after, she began working as an assassin for Atlach-Nacha.

Nyx was barely nine or ten when she completed her first contract. It involved a client who wanted a prominent member of Atlas society dealt with for “a slight to his honor”. Despite of her young age, Nyx managed to pull off the hit to the letter and made it out alive. After this, Nyx rose through the ranks. Eventually, she earned the title, “Nightshade”, at the age of fourteen.

However, Nyx and Atlach-Nacha were betrayed by their Director who offered them to Atlas in exchange for a position in the Atlas’s government. Many of Nyx’s fellow assassins died during that incident. Soon afterwards, Nyx managed to track down and eliminate the traitor to avenge her fellow assassin and the organization.  

Nyx soon disappeared after that and fell off the grid. After about one or two years, Nyx reappeared and started taking contracts again. With the fall of Atlach-Nacha, Nyx became a freelance assassin who travel around the world taking up contracts. It didn’t take long for the media dubbed her “The Silent Assassin” for her ability to do her job without being detected or identified. After roaming around the world for a bit, Nyx decided to “set up shop” on the Island of Bellmuse. It would be the perfect place for her to settle down for a bit due to its location.

It was a rather serene and quiet night at the Carrington Estate. The estate was in a secluded part of the Kingdom of Atlas. The weather was cold and biting, but this didn’t matter to Nyx. To be exact, Nyx had been trained and drilled to ignore the weather and to concentrate solely on killing her target. It had been a long time coming for Nyx. She had spent the last couple of months tracking down her target, Anastasia S. Korsakov. Nyx had nothing but hatred for this woman for she betrayed Atlach-Nacha and she deserved to die. Nyx was one of the few survivors of the assassin purge that Atlach-Nacha experienced at the hands of the Atlas military.

Nyx had successfully infiltrated the compound and had successfully set up a sniper’s nest in the attic of a nearby building. After setting up her sniper’s nest, Nyx waited patiently for her target to reveal herself. After waiting for about a few hours, an older woman with silver hair appeared in her scope. It didn’t take long for Nyx to recognize the woman as her target. Nyx started gently squeezing the trigger of her sniper rifle while controlling her breathing.

“Pfft”

Soon after, the sounds of breaking glass and a thud could be heard as Nyx’s target dropped to the floor. After confirming that her target was dead, Nyx quietly made her way out of her sniper nest and get away from the estate.
