Fears: Namsaek is terrified of downing. She never learned to swim and refuses to get in pooled bodies of water, no matter how small.
She is afraid of being starved, her less than acceptable upbringing and almost continuous hunger have woven this fear deep into her mind and she generally freaks out if her stomach so much as grumbles.
Aside from the two previous fears, Namsaek isn't very afraid of anything, but the next in order would most likely be Dust. She doesn't really trust and isn't comfortable around anyone who heavily relies on, or uses a ton of, Dust. She will act defensive and overreact to everything a major Dust user says or does.
- Overall Personality:
- Namsaek isn't one to rush headlong into anything, that being said she doesn't really consider consequences. She often makes rash decisions, concluding that the easiest way to do something is with brute force, weather that be moving a chair or removing an enemy from the equation.
Not quite like above, Namsaek prefers to take friendship easy. She is very outward with her opinion, be it bad or good, and will readily argue her point. She doesn't want to make tons of friends only to have a couple stab her in the back, so it takes a long time for her to truely consider one a friend. Once a person has been accepted by Namsaek as a friend, however, she is loyal to a fault... literally willing to lay down her life to defend them. She is fiercely overprotective of her friends and will quite readily try to beat the soup out of anyone who attempts to hurt them in any way, shape, or form, even if they have sweets.
Namsaek is not a crowd lover. She doesn't like the noise or the fact that in a crowd, people are pressed close together, and she absolutely loathes people being that close to her, even her friends. If she if tried too much, even by accident, she will not hesitate to show she's not as weak as she looks. Despite her violent tendencies, Namsaek often apologizes later on to those who were subjected to her wrath without good reason, though she always attempts to convince them to be quiet about that act of 'kindness' as it would tarnish her beautiful reputation.
Abilities
Aura type: Power
Aura Color: Blue
Semblance: Granite Shell
Primarily Defensive - Earth Element
Simply a minor form of Terrakinesis. Namsaek can raise some earth from the ground and shape it to whatever she wants, however it must maintain a constant connection to the ground. Once it has formed whatever she desires, it's outside layers turn into an incredibly hard rocklike substance.
Item 1: Weapon
Her set of gloves betrays her preferred fighting style, up close and personal. Though she dislikes people being close, she considers long ranged fighting as a battle tactic of those who are weak.
Item 2: Armor
Her armor is for protection against Dust. She fears and despises Dust, so she aquired this armor to help defend herself against the substance.
History and Sample
- History:
- Namsaek was born into a rather well known family in Remnant, her mother having been a well respected Huntress before retirement and her father being from an old family, Min. Her father's family dated back hundreds of years, with the eldest of the Min children regardless of gender were put through rigorous training, until they were old enough to become Huntsmen in training.
Namsaek lost her mother at four years old, but no one could figure out why. It was only five years later, when she began digging through reports and snooping around in between training sessions, that she found out what had killed her mom... it had been her father. He had killed his wife. It was seemingly as if he had been watching her, or could read her mind.
She had come home a bit early, because she'd finished her training ahead of schedule. Due to her trying to puzzle out why her father would do something like that, she didn't see him until she ran smack into him. He was glaring down at her "Avery Namsaek Min." He said through grit teeth "Follow me."
With that he'd turned and marched off, leaving Namsaek top catch up. What- is he going to kill me!? was the thought that coursed through her mind before she soon it of and followed.
Over the course of the next six years, she was subject to experiments with different effects of the external application of Dust and not allowed to eat unless her father and his two colleagues were satisfied with results. Her studies faltered and her near perfect score in the training academy plunged to barely acceptable.
After six years of Hell, her father and his bunch vanished without a trace. She tried to track them down for another year, but kept hitting dead ends because no one would help a crazy girl find a man and his friends, the fact that she wouldn't tell anyone why she wanted to find them was a major factor, as well.
As she put finding him on the back burner, by no means forgotten, in her late sixteen, she raised her grades once more and managed to catch up and finish the academy with flying colors, though she was skeptical it would get her in, but surprisingly... it did~!
- RP Sample:
- A thirteen year old Namsaek stood facing her two opponents with a beaming smile. "Well... since you seem intent on kidnapping me, let's tumble!" she snapped, dropping the smile when neither budged. She sighed in exasperation "I'm giving you a chance to get a hit in... so..." her tone conveyed what she thought of the two kidnappers, which was nothing nice.
The larger of the two grunted "She's just trying to scare us. Bear Faunus or not she is a child. Let's get her!" With that his partner nodded in agreement and they both ran at her, separating to put her in between them. Unfortunately for them, Namsaek wasn't in the mood. She had to go home and face her father and his buddies again, and so she was in a particularly foul mood. An eight foot wall of earth rose in front of the smaller of the two, quickly hardening into a wall. Upon impact the would-be assailant was knocked unconscious as she bent her knees slightly and tensed up.
"Hah! Your should've been paying attention, child!" She heard the larger yell as a fist connected to her jaw. Her tensed legs launching her in the same direct she was punched towards, lessening the blow. As she landed on her back, sprawled on the ground, a squeak was forced from her lungs and the man burst out laughing. She irritably stood and glared at him, striding purposefully toward him.
He was too busy trying to breathe to do much of anything as she struck him with her gloved fist, as he fell to the ground, she grumbled "Just because I'm tough doesn't mean I don't squeak, dim wit."
