There was no question about it, Life was interesting and worked in mysterious ways. So mysterious even, that it was probably the only mystery that Cassie would never solve, And Cassie was pretty confident that she would solve every mystery out there. Anyway, Life was interesting. Cassie had only been around for about a week and a half, and already she had a big case she needed to work on. She had planned for small cases; "Help my find my dog", "Someone stole my calculator", etc. But now she had bigger things to worry about, and bigger things required bigger guns. Of course by bigger guns I mean the ability to use her gun at all. Her father taught her only the extreme basics, and she had never needed her little revolver up until now. So the best solution clearly was to go out and fight a Grimm. Right? What could possibly go wrong? It would only be a little Grimm, probably. She planned to run from anything bigger than a creep. So it would be FINE. She would be FINE. I'll be FINE, She thought, admittedly nervous as she worked her way through the trees in the Skylight woods, wearing only a Red t-shirt, black jeans, and walking shoes. Oh, and her red fedora, always. It's what gave her identity as a detective. Any minute now she would run into something, in theory. The question was, would she be ready for it?

Chester M. Malachite
"You are sure that we will find worthy enemies around these parts?" Chester said with a heavy sigh before turning his gaze around the area keeping a lookout for potential ambushes by the Grimm. "Of coUrsE I am sUrE, why would YoU ever DoubT mE?" the cackling comming after marvelous reply made Chester shiver lightly as he had learned never to truly trust the other one but it was sometimes not an option to ignore him much to Chester's chagrin.
Tho he was as ready as he could be considering, wearing his standard attire of his overcoat and suit pants with the same high class leather shoes and gloves all within the same shade of black, oh and yes the top hat he could never forget that signature piece of equipment. After a few more moments he looked down to his hands where he was holding his weapon "The Laughing Staker... You could not have named that worse if you even tried Marvelous, you do know that right?" the slightly darker tone Chester used made it quite clear he loathed the name of his crossbow and would take every moment to remind Marvelous of it. The reply came with another cackle "I DO so love to TeasE you a pLenTy you kNoW my dear Chester!". Letting out another sigh Chester knew there was nothing to be done, he would simply have to live with Marvelous for the foreseeable future and perhaps even longer still.
After a few more minuets of walking Chester noticed the figure of another and this person also seemed to fancy a rather stylish head piece, as he approached this person Chester stopped a few meters away before bowing his entire frame thirty degree all the while placing his right arm over the center of his upper torso and placing the tip of the crossbow down at the ground while keeping it steady with his left arm. "Good day, I am loathed to disturb you but would perhaps pray tell me what you are doing out here in such a light manner of attire?" after speaking chester would raise his frame back to its standard height and stature before lifting the crossbow onto his shoulder still using his left arm to stabilize it.

Creep
They had been following it for a while now, the human girl. Stalking her. Waiting for the right moment to strike, the perfect moment to pounce and rip her to shreds. Tear every morsel of flesh from her body. The time was coming. The other presence they had smelled was moving further and further away. They may not be the most intelligent Grimm but they Creeps could tell when a potentially dangerous threat was nearby and they were not so stupid as to attack 2 likely deadly threats at once. They would take them while they were alone. The three Grimm positioned themselves in the bushes to either side of the woman, waiting as the smell of the 2nd enemy moved further and further away. It was gone. It was time to attack. First, the Creep to the rear pounced at the the woman's back as the two at each side closed in for the kill.

As Cassie did her very best to quietly tip toe through the dangerous forest, most likely to no avail due to last year's leaves that just kept crunching, She heard a slight rustling in the brush nearby. Startled by the words she heard next, she grabbed her revolver from her holster, fumbled around with it for a bit, and finally pointed it at the figure emerging from the woods and fired. She would have died if it had been a real threat, and the man that stood before her would have died if her aim wasn't so God awful. "Oh no oh no oh no oh no! I am SO sorry!" She replaced her gun into her holster and put her hands up to show that she meant no harm before putting them back down. "Are you okay? I- I- I really didn't mean to all most blast your head off, really!" She had not even heard the question that was asked before the whole incident. She just continued rambling off apologies, no longer paying attention to the real danger.
When things stayed as they were, Cassie would suddenly be met by a large beast to the back. Screaming as she would be pinned down, unaware that there had even been grimm in the area. Sure, she had been looking for them, but who knew they were so close?

Just as Chester was about to yell for the reason of being shot at he noticed the girl being pinned down and attacked by grimm. He quickly grabbed the crossbow with both hands and charged the grimm pinning her down and swung it in a upwards strike aiming for just below the creatures yaw and attempting to send it flying off her and onto the ground. He would then load his crossbow with a bolt before aiming at the second grimm and firing of the bolt aiming for it's back just below the neck area attempting to restricts it's movements more then anything else.
Chester then spun around while loading another bolt and fired it at the third grimm aiming for its front left leg once more aiming mostly to just slow the creatures mobility. He would then throw the crossbow into the air before he clapped his hands together and a gust of wind formed between them. As it turned into a small tornado in his hands he released the gust and it grew in size rapidly leaving slashes in the surrounding area before it would reach the grimm attempting to cut their flesh.
