Chapter 3: the test

As Chace got up he heard Azure say something like " I have never used that many glyphs before" then he passed out. (oh crap oh crap oh crap) chace thought to himself. He hoped the guy wasn't injured in anyway seriously. He didn't know what to so he did the only thing he could think of and wrapped his coat around the guy and then picked him up and carried him to the medical room at the school as that's the only thing he could think to do at the time. He handed Azure over to the doctors and they set him up in a room. Chace waited their all the time while Azure was unconscious because he wanted to be their for him when Azure woke up. Azure was put into a hospital bed and in a room. Chace felt like it was all his fault if he hadn't had asked him to use his glyphs Azure would be ok.

Azure wakes up in a hospital bed and in a room with a window that had an excellent view of the school “Urur wh-what happen is this Haven?” he asked himself aloud as he noticed he was attached to heart rate monitor which had him really worried (Oh ya that’s right we crashed into the wall.) he recalled as he turned off the heart rate machine. He tries to stand up but feel really light headed so he sits back down (Oh wait Chace was with me I hope he’s okay.) Azure thought to himself as a cool breeze came into the room from an open window “Oh I could call him but I don’t have his number.” He suggested to himself as he laid back down on the bed hoping his new friend was safe and unharmed “MY SKATES!!!” he shouted loud enough that people from the other end of the hallway could hear.

Chace was waiting down the hallway on a seat and heard what it seemed to be Azure awake yelling for his skated. Chace rushed into the room and he ran to his side. "thank god your awake I was so worried I have been waiting here for a few hours" He blushed and then stopped. "its ok we have your skates the doctors took them and locked them up you can get them when you're discharged they said" Chace was just glad his new friend was ok. It would have really sucked on the first day if his friend got injured straight away or even worse died. Chace hated to think about his friends dying it was a cruel thing to think about for him. He hoped the doctors would discharge Azure within the next hour because he really wanted to show Azure around the school as he hadn't even been around it yet himself as he had been waiting for Azure to wake up the whole time.

Azure blushed when he saw Chance run into the room (He actually waited that’s so nice.) he thought to himself as Chace explained that the doctor took his skates but it only made him worry seeing how he almost always had his skates on seeing how he has been on his little adventure for some time now only stopping to take brief napes and to eat. He stood up and on the bed and hopped off it as if he wasn’t still a bit dazed “Okay time to get discharged from this really depressing place shale we my new Kitty friend.” He said with a huge smile on his face “Oh and could you take to the room were my skates are Chace?” he asked hoping that he would take him and not follow the rules of the hospital (Man I hope he he’s okay with this cause last time I tried to leave a place like this it was not good.) Azure had a brief flash back to when he was picked up and brought to a hospital cause the people thought he had passed out when in reality he was taking a nap.

"hey are you sure you're ok to walk so suddenly?" Chace asked worried if Azure would pass out again and he put Azures arm over his shoulders to keep him steady as he walked out as Chace didn't want him collapsing again and he blushed as he lifted Azures arm over his shoulder. He seemed really happy when Chace waited for him "we should get you discharged first before we get your stuff". He could tell that Azure really wanted to get out of the hospital yet Chace didn't know why. His ears twitched a little bit in confusion but he decided to let it slide and he carried Azure out of the room to where the doctor was and discharged him. Then he let go of Azure as he was sure he could walk on his own and Chace took him to a locker room where all the patients things were put in and he took Azures lockers key and unlocked it then took out the skates and gloves and handed them to Azure.

Azure didn’t want Chace to know he wasn’t at full strength but he already knew that he wasn’t okay so he let him put his arm over his shoulder which made him happy (Even though we’ve just meat he treats me like he knew me for years.) he thought to himself as they walked to the doctor “Ya sure we can do that.” He said after Chace suggested they get him discharged which went really fast seeing the doctor that looked at him was nearby so that didn’t take very long. After getting his skates back he quickly puts them back on. Azure felt like a kid with new toy “So Chace now that am free what do you want cause I have no idea where to go from here.” He asks as they left the medical building and walked out into the school’s football sized court yard with students walking and talking to each other and some playing catch or studying for classes.

Chace stood with Azure in the school's front area as kids their age were walking back and forth. Some carried their weapons with them and others didn't. Chace didn't know where to start so he took out his scroll. "so it says on the scroll there is the dorms classes training arena and a courtyard so where did you want to go check our first?" Chace was exited as he could finally explore the school. He wanted to see as well how well he would be able to do against other hunters in a fight. Chace wanted to explore the school with Azure his one friend so far so bad. Chace wanted to go to the training arena but he wanted to see where Azure wanted to go as well. The grass was green and there were birds chirping (ugh why did there have to be birds that makes me hungry and it makes me want to go to the cafeteria) Chace thought to himself.

"Lets go to the admin office just so i can enroll and then go to the food court cause a place like this has to have a giant food selection." Azure said as he garbed Chaces hand and started to walk away from the hospital and into the sea of students that were in the yard. He had hoped Chace wouldn't mind going to the office seeing how he spent a total of five days to get their (He's really a kind person I should ask him to be my friend after this.) he thought to himself as they walked across the filed when he stops after noticing that Chace kept looking at the birds that flew by them which he found kinda cute but he really had to rush to the admins office to get enrolled "Umm Chace would you be my umm friend i don't really have any and you seem like a really nice person?" Azure asked blushing out of embarrassment of asking such a stupid question to someone he just meat less then a few hours ago

"ok the admin office seems like a good place to start then food" He grew hungry even more thinking about it. He blushed as Azure grabbed his hand but he didn't mind that or feel awkward about it. He held Azure's hand all the time while they walked which he felt relaxed doing so. He blushed again at the question of the guy asking to be his friend "yeah ill be your friend don't worry you seem nice too". They already knew what their weapons and semblances were. Chace had already been to the admins office and signed in earlier so he didn't need to go but he went with Azure anyway. He really wanted some food and his stomach was grumbling so once Azure got signed up they went to the food court and had something to eat. Azure meowed a little bit in joy when he finally was able to eat as he hadn't had something all morning.

Azure scarfed down the food that was on his plate "Man I nom nom knew they had good food here." he said in between bits, his plate was spotless when he was done with his food (That really hit the spot.) he thought to himself as he looked around the cafe for something mostly food. He saw someone that had a large ax on their back and couldn't help but feel that he would lose if he fought that person but then he looked back at Chace just as anointment went started telling all the new student's meet by the Skylight for a test or something "Hey Chace any idea of what this whole test thing is about." he asked as hoping that Chace would give him answer that help him make sense of this whole test (I haven't even been here for a minute and they want me to take a test starting to think schools have it out for me." he told himself as he took an apple off the table next to theirs.

"test? what test?" Chace asked quickly and panically as this was the first he had heard about a test at the school and his kitty ears stood up straight. He had no idea about any tests and he wondered why the school would do this and not tell the students what they were supposed to study. As he sat in the cafeteria with Azure he wondered to himself if this test was a test to get rid of any students in which case Chace was sure he would pass and he was sure Azure would too or at least he hoped he would. Chace relaxed a little bit in his seat. He mewed lightly then finished eating his food. "so where did you wanna go in the school first?" Chace stood out of the seat and right now all he wanted to do was sleep and he was really tired after eating and had had a long day after waiting for Azure in the infirmary. Chace yawned and stretched his arms.

Azure saw that Chace didn’t know about the test either which he was fin with he liked surprises “How about we go to that forest place or oh let’s go to the dorms I need a room.” He asked as he takes Chace’s hand and starts to leave the café but after he takes some more food for later on and by later on he means when they gets to the dorms cause skating takes up a lot of energy which is why he eats so much. Azure wanted to go see the what was in the forest but at the same time he wanted to set up in his room (It’s sundown already wow how time goes by when your passed out.) he thought to himself as they made it back to the courtyard “Were are the dorms again?” he asked Chace as he let go of his hand. He questioned if he should tell Chace that he was kicked out of all the other schools in the other kingdoms “(I can’t let him know that this place is my last chance to become a huntsmen.)” Azure told himself unaware that he also said it out loud so Chace could hear him.

"what was that about your last chance? also the dorms sounds nice i don't have a roommate yet do you want to be mine?" Chace wondered what Azure had meant by this was his last chance to become a huntsmen. Chace blushed at this question and the fact Azure was pulling him along by his hand made him blush more. "The dorms are this way" this time after Azure stopped pulling his arm Chace grabbed Azures arm and pulled him to the direction of the dorms. Chace wondered how Azure did in combat as he would like to test his own skills against another hunter one day. Chace opens the door to the room and takes Azure inside. Chace already saw there was only 2 beds in the room so far which was fine by him. He pulled out his scroll and checked the time and it was about 8:00pm and even if they went to the forest at this time of night it would be too risky as they could run into anything in the dark such as grimm  or hurt themselves and no one would know they were there. "I think we should stay in the dorm room for now as it would be to dangerous to the forest but we can go to the forest tomorrow and you can train with me if you want I go there every morning".

Azure blushed a bit when Chace pulled him to the dorms “Ya this is the only school that hasn’t kicked me out but I get the feeling that won’t happen this time. Oh thanks man but are you sure you want me to room with you?” He asked but they had already to Chace’s room got there he was really happy to see Chace’s room only had two beds cause every other school had four beds per room. Chace was right when he said they should stay in for the night “So I’ll take the one on the right.” He tells him as he starts to change right in front of Chace which he realizes when he gets to his undershirt “Sorry I’ll go change in the bath room.” Azure says blushing as he rushes up out the room with his shirt half on and his pants unbuckled (Man that was really embarrassing) Azure thinks to himself in one of the bath room stales.

"im sure I want you to be my roommate and im ok with the fact you have been kicked out of the other schools" Chace wondered what the reasons were for Azure being kicked out of the other schools were but he didn't want to dwell on it as he didn't really care too much to figure out what those reasons were. Chace blushed a little bit as Azure started to get changed right in front of him and he looked away but heard the sound of azure running into the bathroom to continue getting changed. He didn't know what to think about Azure when he started to change right in front of him. He wondered whether Azure liked him in a more than friends way but he put that thought aside for now as he didn't want to jump to conclusions. He got undressed and he climbed into bed then fell asleep.

Azure comes back into the room after getting changed to see Chace was already fast asleep so he followed suite and took the empty bed across from him (What is this feeling in my chest could I have feelings for him?) he wondered as he went to sleep in his new room. He finds himself having a hard time going to sleep even though he was tired so Azure decides to go for a skate under the moonlight to help him sleep but as he skates around the dorm building he pictures Chace in and himself kissing under the moon light (Oh my god what is wrong with me he’s straight and here I am imagining us kissing) he thinks to himself blushing. Azure heads back up to the room “I can’t let my mind do this to me were jut friends and that’s all but then again I could make something-No no were just friends that all nothing more.” He tells himself as he walks back into the room and gets back into his bed after taking his skates off.
