- White Fang: Its an odd fear as she does not fear the group itself, but more of what they are doing to the world. Where many others of her kind had made progress in raising Faunus out of their second class position only to have it halted by this terrorist group. Even going so far as attacking Layla last show before her retiring from her speaking out against them.
- Falling: Being a bat and with her semblance Layla always had a thing for flying. It also a fear she had in the back of her mind of falling. As she had never fallen before it always eating at her that there always a first time for everything.
- Herself around Grimm's: True this is something everyone in the world fears, but most are just the fear of seeing one or being attacked. Layla, on the other hand, fear more of herself since starting her training, she learned a lot about herself. Mainly she is a thrill seeker and tend to take to many risks.
Overall Personality: The best word for Layla personality would be a hard worker. Unlike the many others in the academy, Layla wasn't born a prodigy or with talents in any subjects. Everything she has accomplished in her life has all come from long hours of training. From learning music to her sudden change in learning to become a hunter has all been the fruit of that labor.
When it comes to Layla as a person she is very... well average. Unlike the stage persona she had acted throughout the years that was regal, wore designer clothing, and went by the name Queen of the Vampires. The real Layla is more of the girl next door type. The type that much rather dress in what feels comfy rather than what looks good. Who rather spend her free time playing games, studying, or practicing her arts. Because of this, she offends tend to try to hide her frame from those around her. Preferring to live an ordinary life now.
Being born a bat faunus Layla shared a few characteristics her wing friends. Like bats Layla is also nocturnal and have a hard time sleeping at night, making every day a battle with naps. She was also born with excellent hearing and night vision. The one side effect is her taste for blood. She does not need it, but the smell of blood is enough to make her mouth water. However, unlike others bat faunas Layla was born more humanoid than others. She was born without wings or ears but does share a few details. Such as more define pointy ears, a pair of fangs, and reflected red eyes, which she used in her stage persona of a vampire. Even going so far at the beginning to get two small vampire bite marks on her neck.
In combat, Layla is still new to it with lots of practice and little life experience. However, she had slowly learned that she somewhat enjoys fighting. Showing the more thrill seeker side of herself, making her prone to taking risks. But she isn't stupid and knows her own limits, and isn't afraid to ask for help.
In life, Layla has one true passion in her life: Music. Since learning how to play instruments as a child from a family friend Layla skills have only grown. Even carrying her so far as to become a famous name in the music world, despite being faunas. However, it wasn't till she traveled the others Kingdoms did she learn about her second goal of helping other faunas. Even after everything she has been through from both humans and faunas, Layla still like to believe that the two can live in peace. But also that as a musician her options were limited, so once learning for the opening of her homeland first academy she quickly signs up. Believing a Huntress could do a lot more good than a rocker ever could.

Semblance: Levitation First learning of this at a young age Layla quickly fell in love with this power. Even going so far as to float everywhere rather than walking when possible. Levitation allows Layla to fly at the cost of 10 aura a turn. She can also fly with others, but this power reflects her own strength. Meaning if she couldn't pick them up in her arms on the ground, then she wouldn't be able to fly with them.

- Layla up bring was nothing special as her family was never rich, but were far from poor. A happy middle would be a theme of Layla life until her teenhood. Growing up Layla was normal as normal could get in life. Average grade, average result in sports, average looks, at least she believed so, with average goals in life. Grow up, find a job and marry someone and live out your life from there. That was the idea most kids had grown up in her small town.
However, that all changed with a close friend of her mother moved to her town to retire from the life of a hunter. The hunter name was Dolce and at once Layla, like many of the other children became enchanted with the woman. To the kids of the small town, she was like the hero's they have heard so many stories about. Hunter and Huntress fighting giants Grimm's and saving the day. But for Layla, it what the woman did as a habit that captivated her. Every morning and afternoon Dolce would spend time playing the music of all sorts. Layla was bewitched at once and beg Dolce to teach her how to play like her. Which Dolce happily agreed, however, this wouldn't turn out to be as fun as Layla first thought.
Dolce brought much of her hunter way of life into training Layla as they started with the violin and piano. It didn't take long for Layla to learn she didn't have much talent in the art. Yet, Dolce never once suggested her to stop and only pushed her to train and practice harder. As for what Layla lacked in talent she had an amazing ear for music thanks to her bat side, allowing her to hear what others could not. But it wouldn't be till her father bought Layla her first guitar that she learn maybe she isn't so talentless after all.
It was the first instrument Layla taught herself how to play, using the bit of knowledge she had from the others. This brought Layla into a whole new world of Rock N Roll along with all the other form of music beyond just it classic form. From there her life snowball so quickly most of it seemed like a blur before her eyes. From a small town girl, she soon found herself stepping onto a stage to play and sing a concert for thousands of people. Even going so far as using her bat gene to help to create a new persona as The Vampire Queen. An idea she really didn't like as it overnight made her the face of the band, The Nightwatch.
Yet, she went along with it as her band made its first big break and started visiting other Kingdoms. It was also at this time she first really began seeing the world that her kind really lived it. Layla wasn't a stranger to how her race was treated, but she had never seen it on the large scale like in other Kingdoms. Using the frame she has built up Layla joined in the fight to help faunus. Even going so far as to call out the cowardly actions of the White Fang, that she called Terrorist. This caused a bigger backlash than she could have ever seen as she became a target for the Fang.
For the first time in her life, Layla felt like she had a goal and even with a threat to her she refused to back down. However, the same couldn't be said for the others in her band. This quickly brought a gap in the group and one Layla could do nothing about. She couldn't ask the others to risk their lives for her own goals. She was also quickly learned how useless her power really was in all this as there was only so much one person in a band really do against Prejudice. As well as a target on her head from the Fang is was only a matter of time before she be dropped from performing, as to not risk injuring others.
Once again in her life, it would be Dolce that gave her the push she needed along her path. This time in the form of an email telling her about Syne Academy. If she didn't have the power to do change anything, then she simply needed to become more powerful, right? And who had more influence in the world than the Hunters and Huntress? So after pulling some strings and pulling back those she could Layla played one last show before announcing her retirement. As well as dedicated her new and last song named I May Fall to the White Fang.
With the Roll N Roll life behind her, Layla moved back to her hometown, where she quickly used what time she had to hop into training for the academy. With Dolce help, and crazy training regiment, she quickly grew a bit stronger and skilled, but she knew she still had a lot to learn. With the days closing in Layla said her goodbyes to her family and Dolce and moved to Bellmuse Central to start her new life as a Huntress-in-training.

"You sure you want to do this, Dear?" Her mother asked as Layla floated around the room packing. It felt weird being back in her old room after so many years away. After visiting so many new places and seeing the other Kingdom it made Layla realized just how much she prefer the feel of her small town. Even if she had to give up her band life, then again, she didn't really mind no longer being "The Queen of the Vampires". "I can't believe I let them talk me into that name." She said looking at all her old performs outfits she had boxed away. She wanted to avoid the subject her mother has been pushing for the past few days.
Even if they support her choices her parents were still parents and they worried. Maybe a bit too much, but she would never hold that against them. And the life of a Huntress wasn't really the safest job in the world. "I just want to make sure you know what you're getting into, Lay. That life isn't like the stories make them out to be. Not all of them anyways." With a heavy sigh, Layla stopped floating and walked over and just hug her mother. "I know mom!" She said letting go and going back to packing. "I'm doing this knowing all that. Dolce told me the same thing and taught me what she could." Stopping next to her ax she picked it up, giving it a swing before picking a few notes on it.
"You're so hard headed. Shame you got that from me. Just... Be careful. Okay?" Layla hears the worry in her mother's voice which only made her smile more. Picking up the duffle bag and swinging Vacillation onto her back. "I'll be fine, maybe." She joked before giving her mother one last hug before floating off toward the door. This was once again a big step for her. The last time she left this house, it was to step before people and sing music to the world. This time, it would become something greater. To become some with the power to protect the world.
