Warren let out a yawn, his helmet in his lap and stretching his hands over his head as he sat atop a barn, letting out a huff of steam into the chilly night air, quickly tucking his chin down into his chest to try and keep the bottom half of his head warm while fighting off sleep as a shiver rolled down his spine. He gave an annoyed grunt. Keeping watch of the empty patch of grassland leading up to a forest for all night wasn't exactly exciting work, and he wondered how it was exactly that he got stuck out here again, when he remembered it was entirely his fault...
Apparently local farmers in the area had been having a lot of trouble with the Grimm recently, as they seem to have been growing a lot more bolder than usual. While they'd normally left the farmers alone, in the last few weeks there'd been reports of slaughtered farm animals, and even an entire family having gone missing. With that in mind, the farmers had petitioned for aid from Syne, the only Hunter Academy in this entire place, and with it being so understaffed, well... It'd fallen onto the students to do the grunt work, with the entire fiasco put up as a "volunteer event", keeping watch of the farmers at night until the problem was resolved. The volunteers had been split up into several teams, and scattered at various intervals along the edge of the forest, and Warren had done his best to make sure that his team contained people he was familiar with. Still, there was nothing else to do right now but wait.
"Goddammit..." Warren grumbled to himself, wrinkling his nose as if began to go numb. "Well... At least there's a full moon tonight... Visibility shouldn't be too big an issue... Stars are kinda pretty too..."
