Bonding Exercise(Ari, Eli, Veta hunting)

Arisa was absolutely excited when the new day dawned, sunlight shining in through the window above her bed in the room she shared with the other three members of her team. It was the day that she, Eli and Ve would all be going hunting together out in Skylight Woods. She didn’t question why it was only the three of them and Yuuki was missing. After her first encounter with the strange man while she had gone out hunting she was enjoying the fact that she’d be hunting with two people that didn’t radiate an aura of “I’m going to kill you just because I can since we’re this far out in the woods”. Getting out of bed she went off to take a quick shower before getting dressed.

Her outfit of choice for today’s hunt consisted of a pair of navy blue jeans with a flower print pattern on the left thigh, a black belt and a green top that left her shoulders and cleavage exposed while still covering her arms. Her shoes were a pair of knee-high black boots with four small silver spikes on the outer sides. She was under the assumption that she was going to be meeting her teammates in the woods because the room was empty by this point. Grabbing her scythe, which had compacted for easier storage and travel, she headed out while making sure to lock the door behind her. Upon her arrival she found that, while not as beautiful as Finnek Forest and all of the white scenary, the Skylight Woods were still impressive in their own way.

She had remembered one of their teachers bringing them here once before, to a clearing that they explained was sometimes used for events. It was Arisa’s assumption that this was to be their meeting point and made her way there.

Appearance:

Eli was to go hunting with her team today. She had ended up waking up before everyone else and getting dressed. Throwing on a beige sweater that left her shoulders and neck exposed. A black skirt, black knee socks and some black shoes. And finishing the ensemble off with a checkerboard tie. She used her free time to go look over her newest project.

Leaving the dorm she wandered to her newest project that was within eyesight of their dorm. She decided to turn the carcass of that King Taijitu she killed into her workshop, and had spent many days hollowing it out with her taxidermy skills. most of the flesh and internal organs were discarded and Eli had spent a day coating the skin of the beast with a substance that would prevent decay and scavengers from getting to it. Various construction materials and tools were littered around the beast. It was very exhaustive work, for she needed to do the work of many people by herself. But it was possible with her semblance. But that meant that Eli slept longer on project days than any of her teammates. Soon enough, the once regal snake would become her workshop, Eli was excited. Eli spent an hour drawing up more plans, before putting them away and heading off to the place where they needed to meet.

Eli wandered through Skylight Woods, admiring the scenery on her trip to the clearing within the woods that was to be their meeting point. Eventually she reached the clearing to find Arisa waiting for her. Eli waved at the woman and walked up to meet her. "Hello Ari! I guess it's time for our first team hunt!" Eli was grinning from ear to ear. Excited about the hunt to come, now they were just missing one member. Eli rocked back and forth as they waited for Veta to show up.

"Oh gosh! I'm late! I'm late!" Veta scrambled down the hallway of the dorms to try to get to the woods in time. She was supposed to be the leader - the most responsible. But she'd been up extra early to do some studying in the early morning for the team, and she'd gotten little enough sleep from doing the same the night before that she'd fallen asleep again. Aaaand she'd ruined her notes drooling on part of them as she slept, which was even better. Being the team leader was harder than she'd expected!

She was wearing a set of black tennis shoes, long pink striped stockings with various shades of pink, a somewhat short black skirt, a black hoodie with flower print on the left side over a light pink shirt, and her usual scarf she seemed to wear with every set of clothing. Her near-waist length hair was once again in its ponytail.

She had dropped her books back off at the dorm as quickly as possible, and now raced through the woods to find her teammates in the clearing. She hopped logs, tore through bushes, and eventually burst into the clearing, stopping about a foot from her two teammates and bending over with her hands on her knees to catch her breath. "H-hi," she panted. "Sorry... sorry I'm late. I fell asleep studying."

The ursa strolled around the Skylight forest, moving around on all fours. It was hanging around in the shadows of the trees, minding its own business. Suddenly, it heard rustling in the trees. It looked up and toward the sound, just in time to see a blur of pinkish red speed by. It smelled like a person actually. The Grimm WAS pretty hungry. It chased the person through the woods, and it would not be heard since the person running was making so much noise too. The Ursa kept up with her until she reached a clearing, the one the forest was known for.

In this clearing, there were two humans that the Faunus girl joined. Oh yea, this was the snack time jackpot here. It was only expecting one person, but it got three all at once. The Creature of Grimm roared, ready to start on this large feast.

Arisa turned as something entered the clearing after her. It turned out to be Eli who happily greeted her. “Hi Eli! I was worried I was running late when I saw the room was empty earlier. Guess not.” Not long after came a pink and black blur rushing through the woods only to stop in front of them. Veta stood in front of them, hunched over with her hands on her knees. She apologized between gasps of breath and explained that she had fallen asleep while studying. Arisa just smiled at her. “It’s alright Ve. We’re all here together and ready to start! I’m so excited to get to hunt with the two of you!”

A roar interrupted the girls and their excitement causing Arisa to turn and look to see what caused it. Much to her distaste it was another Ursa that had found the girls. While Arisa was hoping to find something a bit more interesting than another Ursa, but beggars can’t be choosers she supposed. Readying her scythe she made the first move, running past Eli and Ve to leap up in the air and slash at the Ursa. Vaulting over it she slashed down towards it three times, aiming to stab the tip of her scythe blade into the creature.

As Ari and Eli started to talk. Their fearless leader burst through the foliage, running up to them and taking a breather. She apologized about being late of all things. Eli just giggled and carefully reached out and rubbed her teammate's head. "Don't worry about it! We're all here now! Though I feel really bad about leaving Yuuki out. I wonder what he's up to?" After Ari made her own statement, they all heard a roar at the edge of the clearing. Well what do you know? They aren't alone.

Eli watched an Ursa burst into the clearing and start to charge them. "Just one?" Eli readied her crowbar as Ari started to charge the charging bear. Eli moved in behind the woman. Eli twirled to the side as the charging Ursa went for her, making sure that her crowbar would slam into it's side at the end of her twirl she would then change directions and keep pace with the creature. Swinging her crowbar at it two more times, with each strike a burst of superheated plasma shot out of the vents around her crowbar's head. With the three of them they could keep three of the beast's sides covered. With that, it only had one direction to go that didn't offer any resistance. But it may still try to plow through one of them. Just in case Eli braced herself to move in another direction quickly. Anticipating the bear's movements so that she can react accordingly.

Veta grinned as her two friends comforted her, recovering enough to stand up. "Well, I'm here now. And totally ready to go." she turned around, hearing something crashing through the woods suddenly. "Here we go. Get ready!" she told hear team as her newly upgraded spear extended, looking even more deadly than it had before. As the other two moved into position, she stood in the ursa's way, her shield extending as she entered a defensive stance.

The Ursa had come crashing after her, and she was ready to defend from it. If it charged her, she would jump out of the way, stabbing at it with her spear as it passed. If it went after someone else, she would move to assist, flanking and attacking. She was excited to see how her team would do. They were going to be the best team in Syne, and now she would get to see how the rest of them fought.

The Ursa got in position to start charging, and noticed that one of the girls in front of it decided to be the first to try and attack. The Ursa lifted a paw as the girl with the scythe Jumped, and would swat her out of the air before it could get hit. Of course, the other girls had sharp weapons too it seemed, and they didn't just stand there and wait to die, though it would have been nice. Instead, they attacked both sides of the bear as he went for the scythe girl who would at this point be on the ground, if the Ursa had done things right. It would try to bat at the scythe wielder again, or if she got up it would try to ram into her head first. Maybe it was in over its head trying to make a meal out of three people at once, but it did not care one bit.

As the assistant nurse leaped over the Ursa and attempted to pick at her target with the tip of her scythe’s blade, only to have it swatted away by the Grimm’s paw. During her airborne period her teammates had moved to attack it as well, adapting to the actions she herself had taken and flanking the beast on both sides. It caused Arisa to smile as she landed behind it. This situation was vastly different than her previous hunt with Yuuki, who simply attended to his own Ursa rather than aiding Arisa at all. Now she had teammates she could rely on that would keep her safe so that she could keep them safe, it was a win-win for everyone!

It seemed that she had captured the Ursa’s attention completely as it turned around, ignoring the attacks of her teammates, and attempted to swat at her again with its massive paw. In response Arisa defended by knocking the beast’s paw away with her scythe’s staff, turning her torso into it. It looked like the Grimm was prepared for his attack to be dealt with as it attempted to head-butt the purple hair woman immediately after, only to earn a spin of her scythe as she attempted to bring the tip of her weapon’s blade up under the oncoming creature’s chin and into the soft spot of its underjaw.

Well, the Ursa seemed to be rather simple minded that was for sure. As they all closed in on the beast, it seemed to only be focusing on the first person to attack it, Arisa. Multiple feelings burned inside of Eli. Concern for the nurse in training as the bear tried to swipe at her. Thrill that their attacks were landing on the beast, the smell of it's shed blood started to fill the grove. As the Grimm started to turn towards Ari to attack again, Eli grinned. Was it really so single minded to ignore all other threats? Thus, Eli proceeded to flank the beast with Veta. But, Eli went and did some unconventional tactics. Without further Adieu, she hopped on the beast and pressed the head of her crowbar against the back of it's neck, burning it with a stream of plasma. "You are a thousand years too young to think that you can challenge the three of us one at a time!" She then swung her crowbar twice more, swinging it at both sides of the beast's throat to strike and burn it some more.

Veta would have agreed with Eli's appraisal of the Ursa had she voiced it out loud. It was foolishly going after one person while the others stabbed at its weaker points. It apparently didn't like purple-haired women or something.  But right now, that suited her just fine. As Eli jumped on top of the bear to bash it, she expected it to rear up in response, and dashed to the front, thrusting the end of her spear at the bear's weakest point it had exposed by that point. As she did, she took advantage of the fact that the spear's longer than normal head, and ran to the side, attempting to twist and slash across it to cause even more damage. "Never assume a team won't be working together!" she agreed with Eli's outburst as she did so. Even without communicating, they were naturally moving to cover openings the other caused. To Veta's fledgling leader mind, she took this as a good sign.

The ursa was able to take the scythe wielder out of the air, but it missed when it tried to sawt at her again. It also missed at its head butt attempt. That was rather annoying. What’s more, As he tried to head butt, The purple headed woman attacked underneath its jaw with her weapon, which HURT. The Ursa would have responded if it wasn’t already rearing up in response to the pain that was suddenly at its neck. As it bucked up, it felt another sharp Pain at it’s rear. What was going on? All these attacks, and the Ursa just wanted food!
Angry, The ursa spun around with an extended paw to hit everyone around him, which would hopefully serve to loosen up the one on his back, and then he would finish by rearing up and slamming down to throw her off. If successful, he would try to run off into the woods. This was no longer worth it.

Arisa’s smirk at burying her scythe’s blade into the Ursa’s underjaw turned into a look of surprise as it was ripped out of her hands by the beast rearing back onto its hind legs and into the air. While she attempted a new tactic, her teammates still attacking it while it was focused on her. Further surprising her was Eli who used the same tactic that she herself used on the previous Ursa she had faced when she encountered Yuki. The smaller girl was riding the Grimm’s back as it tried to throw her off while Ve was using her spear to attack it from its rear before dashing off to its side for more damage. That was when Arisa realized just how vulnerable the Grimm’s underside was now that it was reared up on its hind legs.

Holding both her hands out to it she decided that she’d be using her dust for the first time since coming to the academy. The blue powder flowed from her hands like cool liquid as it started to shape itself. There were advantages to having the water element for the violet haired girl’s dust, like how versatile it could be. Water was free to take the shape of whatever container it was in and, using the crushed crystal as that container, it meant she was free to do things like turn it into a drill of liquid and crystal. She launched it towards the creature’s underbelly.

The ursa reared up in response to their actions. Eli grinned and gripped onto the spines on it's back with a free hand. She then braced her legs in the spines as well so that all in all she wasn't easily dislodged. It spun and tried to hit her teammates which she responded by smashing a crowbar into the outstretched arm. Grinning like a lunatic she was quite enjoying this. "Hey now! Bad!" It then slammed down as Eli was riding it like a bucking bronco. The hand holding the crowbar waving in the air above her head. With a cheer she used the beast's momentum against it, swinging her crowbar down once more as it fell, the sharp head aimed downwards. If successful she would bury the weapon in the beast's skull and scorch the inside with plasma as it shot directly into the creature's brain. Bringing it a possibly quite painful end to it's existence.

(Sorry for the late reply, I don't really have much of an excuse for the lateness)

Veta moved in a position to better defend her purple-haired friend when she saw the scythe ripped from her grip. She was sure Arisa would still be able to handle herself, but covering each other was something a team did. Arisa attacked the heavily wounded beast with her Dust, and Eli smashed her crowbar into its arm as it reached out to attack them. knowing it probably would have no chance to dodge if it even survived the last two attacks, she lunged at the beast aas Arisa's attack smashed into the bear, and tried to her spear into its skull from underneath, just like the scythe had caught him before. She highly doubted it could survive all of the wounds they were causing, even with its thick grimm hide. As she slammed her spear upward, she twisted it, and brought it downwards in an attempt to drag the bear down with her weapon. She then pulled the spear out, flipping it around as it retracted into its compact form and she put it away in a single smooth motion.

The ursa tried to get away from the crazy people trying to kill it. It might have been safe if it could make it to the woods. If it could jt make it out of the clearing, it could possibly live to eat another day. It did not want to give in to the light so easily.

Alas, it had no other option. With so manny people attacking it, it had no choice but to fall. It was already weakened by the fighting, it was never going to be able to last very long with all of three huntresses after it. And that is what happened. It wasn't able to get away, wasn't able to react before it took the final blow. It wasn't really sure which person actually delivered it, the cat girl, the short girl or the scythe girl, or a combination of the three. But it didn't really matter, as it was destroyed before it ever found out.

Arisa blinked at the events that transpired next. Not only did she attempt the killing blow herself with her spiral of liquid and crushed crystals but her teammates attempted to kill the beast at the same time themselves, resulting in her being unable to tell which attack was the cause of the Ursa’s collapsing to the ground the a mass of dead flesh. With a sigh the future nurse went to the Grimm to retrieve her weapon from its head, only to wince as she felt a surge of pain through her left arm. Looking at it she noticed the several claw marks that had slashed through her skin and the green sleeve of her top. Finishing pulling her scythe from the underside of the Ursa’s head she smiled at her teammates.

“That was a nice job you two! I’m happy to have teammates that’re going to cover my back like you two.” Taking a moment to dig through her pocket she produced two things. A small cloth and a roll of gauze. Not wanting the blood from the fresh corpse to rust and dull the blade of her scythe she took the cloth and started to wipe it down nice and clean before attending to her own wound. That was where the gauze came in. Unrolling it she started to wrap it around the wound on her arm, over the sleeve of her top, and made sure she covered the whole opening. “It’s not too bad but I’ll still need to disinfect and rewrap it when we get back.”

Veta smiled widely as the monstrous bear crumpled under their combined assault. Her spear shrank back to its tube-like form as she spun it around in her hand and rehooked it into the loop on her back, her cat ears twitching in a way that revealed her elated mood. “I knew we could do it!” she grinned happily, turning to face her friends. Arisa was bandaging her wound, commenting on how it would take more cleaning later. But for now everyone seemed to be in pretty good health, and the faunus couldn’t ask for much more. Though even she had to admit a single ursa was a bit disappointing after the deathstalker she’d faced with her best friend. “What now? Do you want to keep hunting for practice or head back and relax a bit?” She wasn’t sure what her friends preferred, but she was happy either way. They’d proven to be competent teammates, after all.

Eli watched as the Ursa she was riding finally succumb to it's wounds. Collapsing in a lifeless heap Eli started to giggle as the Ursa collapsed to the ground. She didn't know who dealt the final blow, but to be completely honest, it didn't matter. Both Ari and Veta applauded their teamwork, and Eli grinned and nodded in her own reply before crawling off the dead beast. She stretched and then swung her crowbar a bit, cleaning the blood off of her weapon and sending it sailing off into the grass somewhere. Ari had been wounded, which was a cause for some concern, but her nurse abilities were kicking in as she bandaged her arm up. Eli was glad she was able to take care of herself at least. Veta then asked if they should keep hunting, Eli shrugged "That is up to you guys. I don't mind if we all keep hunting, I find it rather fun after all. But if you guys would rather not that's okay too."

Eli stood and waited for their ultimatum on what they all would do. Either way, at least they all worked well together.

Suddenly a screech could be heard from above. Large figures soared through they sky, blocking the path of the Sun's light upon the forest clearing. Two Bird like creatures of Grimm spotted movement below as a group of people felled an Ursa. The Nevermore Duo Figured that they would be easy targets as they were down below, and they were busy with the Ursa.  The smaller of the two birds let out another screech as they began their assault. The larger Nevermore Beat its wings downward, sending a flurry of sharp feathers down to the ground below. These feathers were strong and at the very yeast had the power to pin people down, or actually strike them to cause some grave damage. Among the rain of feathers, The smaller beast swooped down in an attempt to snap at the first girl it saw, her bright red~pink hair catching it's attention.
